State Championship - Lakeside - May 27
Well Sunday May 27 sees round 3 of most Qld State Racing Championships. I'll be there pit-crewing for my good friend Ian Helsdon who is doing well in the 1600cc class in his Mk 2 Escort Improved Production Touring Car.
If you're in South East Queensland, I recommend coming out for a good days racing from a variety of classes, including Sports Sedans, Improved Production, HQs, Geminis, Formula Vee, Formula Ford and Sports Cars. |

The only drama is that the $220 entry fee is a bit steep for some....but I guess Lakeside has to bump up their hire fees...arrrghhh
 I'll be there with bells on, can't wait

It will be interesting to see just how small the fields are and will Lakeside learn anything from this. I do not expect any Historic Touring Cars to run and only 17 Improved Production cars have entered.

Bloody hell!
For the first meeting at Lakeside this year there was rumoured to be over 40 entries! Well that's just a kick in the pants.. |
