You are correct on the engine, the old Dyson 2.0 litre for Indy lights. The new lmp1 is a 3.5 v6 and I believe it is a new design.

Judd made no bones about the fact that their LMP2 engine is based on a BMW block, but the subsequent rebadges are absolutely ridiculous.

Fine....never believe a Czech kart racing manufacturer can produce a competitive P2 engine anyway. (No offense)
Speaking of re-badging, will we see signatech Alpine-badged P2 as a whole season entry or still Le Mans + ELMS?

Doubt it. If he's said that he doesn't want to race for them then it would be silly to try and force Mako to race with them again, I can only imagine it wouldn't be a conducive working environment in that situation.

It can be a very bad situation for Mako, in the article we can assume that Mako had a 1 year contract with AMR + the option for a 2nd year in the hands of AMR. Actually AMR didn't renounce to the 2nd year option, so in theory Mako is still a worker under prodrive contract. I think that when Mako signed with Porsche, he was sure that AMR was not going to pick up the 2nd year option (verbal agreement between Mako and AMR). If is as I think, Mako is still an AMR driver (and a porsche driver too) and in theory AMR can legally prevent him from driving for any AMR direct competitor, basicly no WEC as porsche driver for him. We need to wait and see what will be porsche move... in theory also porsche could prevent him from driving for a porsche competitor (basicly, no WEC as AMR driver as well). A solution can be to pay the rescission clause to AMR.

Too late now, Mako already withdraw from the japanese series and Honda respected his will (like AMR, honda too had an option for a second season). It would really embarassing if he will come back knocking to some super GT team door, useless too, more or less all GT500 teams are finalizing their line-up.
