Andy Metcalf should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rob Huff & Jason Plato

On Sunday, upon winning the Seat Cupra Championship, Rob Huff said to Jason Plato, "..you'll have to put up with me next year..".

Maybe it will be more the other way round. Who will be the No.1 and who will be the No.2 do you think?

Could we see either or both of them in BTCC or even DTM?

Yes I know they will be in ETCC next year. I am asuming that anyone reading it would know too without having to embarass themselves by stating the obvious. I was looking to 2005.

I don't rate Huff all that much and I think a season in ETCC will bring him down a peg or two, as for him being the number 1 driver, I don't think so he will be hard pushed to beat Jason even though Jason hasn't raced much this year. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't see a Seat entry in the BTCC in 2005 and it would be even better if Jason was the driver.

We'll see..I don't expect much of either Plato or Huff in the SEAT's next year - the cars are hardly front runners just yet.

Huff is bound to face a hard time from any critics, especially with JP as his team mate.

will be good to see how he compares but expect he'll struggle seems the seat cupra cup entrants where all a bit kamikazee, consequently i'm not sure the best man won

I went to watch the final at thruxton on sun - last minute decision on sat night.

Pickford's car was parked right by the fence where I was standing at Parc Ferme & he was sitting on the bonnet with marsh.

I was hoping Hodgetts would win instead

whats wrong with everyone? Why is everyone slagging Rob off!?

He is a good driver! Thats why he finished second in clios last year dispite his lack (or none of) tin top experience and why he won the Seats. Even Jason himself said Rob isn't just a good driver, he has more.

I don't get everyones problem with him.

I agree with Speedy King. I don't know why everyone is slagging him off.
If you don't know him personnely then don't run him down.
Give the lad a chance.
And my the way he came Third in the Clio's last year.
And I know Rob Huff he's a very nice chap.

I've worked with Rob Huff at Silverstone before, he is a bit sure of himself but he's alright. Even if he did think Johnny Herbert was better than Hakkinen...

And of course he deserved to win the title! It was blatant he would win from the outset. I think he will give PLato a run for his money too. He's a million times better than that ginger ninny Tom Ferrier anyway!

Huff might be an OK driver, but so's Michael Schumacher that doesn't mean you'd want to spend any time shut in a broken lift with him unless of course you'd just spent an evening on the Guiness followed by an extra spicy sprout vindaloo.

Michael Schumacher is probably the most considerate, friendly and reasonable F1 driver of the current generation, is totally level-headed and easy to get on with!
