Bentwood Back at Brands!
Heard today that Michael Bentwood will be back out at Brands after Edenbridge pulled out all the stops to re-build their second car (the one that had previously been stripped to become the basis of an ETCC spec car for 04.) Just wanted to say well done to them - that is a lot of work to have to undertake and it's good to see we're not gonna be losing yet another car.

Was is other car totally written off at Snet then? I heard about the prang but havent seen it yet.

The description was the back of the car looked more like a compact than a booted BMW!

It's been a real disaster for Edenbridge in so many ways - the lost points at Snetterton, the cost of repairing the car, the waste of effort on working with the second car, the excess man-hours required to ge tthe car back to BTCC race-worthiness....
Great that they willbe out there. The championship is still his for the taking if he can ahve a few good races. He's been unlucky with crashes which werne't his fault. |

Recognition
It is that sort of dedication which should, I think, be rewarded in some way. They had to rebuild after Rockingham and now Snetterton. They deserve much for this dedication.

yep i'll certainly be rooting for them at brands,
bentwood sounded very pessimistic about his chances for the rest of 03 when interviewed about the accident, said he may not be able a compete for the rest of 03 so i'm semi-surprised to hear that they'll be back. |
