Ford Fans,Whos your favourite team!

O.K Ford fans which team do you support?Or maybe a particular driver, ifso then who is he?

I`m a mad Seton fan and have been since day one.Got quite a few of memorabillia shirts from various teams now,and will start buying his DJR gear next year as well!

So which is your favourite Ford team and drivers?

I like all ford teams I admire SBR because they are quiet achievers and are winning! Seton is the driver i most want to see win Bathurst, and DJR is a favourite team because of Dicks achievements in the early 80's.

If you had asked me 1 week ago I would have said FPR!!! I'm now saying DJR!!! (I'll give you 1 guess who I follow!!!)....

Followed by 888 (becuase I do like Lowndes)

Then BJR (Love the black & green falcon)

Then SBR

And FPR are now last... Infact every other Holden team first then FPR... As they have treated Seto like s&*# for 2 years now!!!

I, like most Ford fans I know, don't support one team in particular. I think it is from all the years that Holden were winning in V8's. You don't care who is winning as long as they are in a Ford.

Group C and A days it was DJR but since Dick retired I have been buying Ford gear, not team gear.

Well this used to be pretty simple. FPR because they are important to what Ford is trying to achieve with their road cars. The link in image and prestige is enormous and their struggle to move volume is in no small way related to the image of their track cars. Obviously Prodrive is the common part of both organizations.

The fact that Glenn drove for them was an added bonus. I like Craig while he was at Holden so again that was a bonus situation. Marcos and SBR because he comes from my home state and SBR because of what they have achieved where no one else could.

I have been a Glenn Seton fan since Bathurst 87. I needed a replacement for Allen Moffat and once I met the guy it was pleasing to find he was nothing like Moffat in the person. That will always continue. Next I want Craig to be a success at Ford his fortunes will be carefully watched. The team award will go to FPR. All three have something to prove. After reading what has happened to Glenn it is time for David Flint to relinquish all handling of the race program and concentrate on the road side. Right now they can’t get either right and LS2 isn't going to make it any easier

As I was a Dick Johnson fan from the XD to the Seirra days and then I changed to Glen Seton, I would have to say that FPR are my favorite Ford team followed by SBR.
But with Seto going to DJR in 05 I would possiably change now to DJR or 888 as I have like CL since he changed to the righ side and drove the green eyed monster.

So in 04
1.FPR
2.SBR
3.BJR

In 05
1.DJR
2.888
3.SBR

But as long as there is a BLUE OVAL in the car and they beat the dark side I really do care.

GO FORD.

Its hard to say what team I support because it all depends on the drivers. I follow whatever team has my favourite drivers in it. Based on that, I am currently a 888 fan.

BJR for sure, I love the hype that goes with the team with bathurst... It is great to watch.. And for Bowe to get pipped at the post with a 2.06 by Murphy last year was one of the most amazing sights I'd ever seen. Nearly worth a tear in the eye.
They showing improvement and might just suprise a few people in the last few rounds

I'm happy to see any Ford team do well & I wish some more were as there is some great people at most of the teams. Next year will be more clear cut tho I can't wait to see Seto & DJR together.

Ok, that's pretty good, but have you had to do the hard yards and jump to the other side of the river ? Actually it's pretty good over here carrying the torch for SBR #9 Russell Ingall

Sometimes I wonder what I have been missing...apart from race wins and championships

For me I can't go past SBR. They are doing the job largely solo for Ford and they do it in a way that is gracious and fair. Like others I'm happy for any Ford team or driver to win but when it comes to the most deserving I struggle to see others the equal of SBR. Steve Ellery is pretty popular with me based on his endurance performances last year in a small one car team and it would be nice to see him do well at Bathurst. However given Bathurst is the pinnacle of the racing year for the masses I think it a team that delivers has to be my favourite hope.

In the old days (especially the hardtops) it was so simple since there were so few falcons. What a pity that in these days with a more even spread between Holden and Ford, parity (or rather the lack of it)has meant we are still stuck with one or two falcons only being performers. Indeed all my race aware life it has seemed to be a basically a sole (maybe two) ford driver(s) being the great hope against a multitude of Holden steerers year in year out. I remember wishing for rainy days in the Torana v8 days so Murray Carter could keep pace amd maybe fluke a win if there was no Moffat.

Djr and SBR DJR because of Dick since him then the picking have been slim loved the way the Rat drove like a man possesed which was great viewing. Lately you just don't see the cars and have been very disapponting. SBR are good Kiwi boy's gone good. Would love to see a return of the Russell of old
