boots should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
avesco farce

has anybody else noticed the continued blatant misuse of the safetycar/black flag during the 2006 championship? in a continued effort to "close the gap" throughout the year we have been robbed of a chance to see if the best driver could win, everytime the gap started to open the safety car would appear or someone would be blackflagged and at the end of the day the points gap may or may not have been a true reflection of the days racing. murph and ambrose coming together at bathurst last year was after a restart from a SC that had been deployed to recover a car that had been called safe! word filtered thru that it was to save the car from the ferals at the end of the race????? a less then surprising by product of the intervention was it closed the field for a run to the flag, unfortunately, nobody showed murph and ambrose that page of the script. if the car was recovered to save it from the ferals, why wasnt the kiwi recovered this year? could it have been because the intervention to recover it from the back of the trap at chase had closed up the field????

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
can you reaally have a opinion if your not up to date enough to know that it is no longer AVESCO and hasnt been for a year

probably should have added a respectible/quality/genuine as opposed to an unsubstatiated sledge 2 months after it happened

Welcome Boots....as has been pointed out....there was quite a lot of discussion on this forum and others at the time. However, what you are saying is that it is becoming endemic.....if thats the case, I don't think we or anyone would want to see contrived outcomes in a race series.

It will be interesting to see if the use of the Safety Car is modified next season.
