The schedule will be composed of available options, not choices.

That might mean the Honda company picnic is headed for the dustbin.
Now Murphy's changed his mind:

Mid-Ohio still “on” for IRL
Murphy’s been sorting through the comments on the 2011 schedule by IndyCar VP Terry Angstadt. Of most import to ALMS fans is his confirmation that Mid-Ohio will remain on the IRL schedule, albeit on a different date [...] any “drops” will be within the events that occur before August on this year’s schedule. Since Long Beach is sacrosanct, it seems certain the only impact on the American Le Mans Series is the changed date for Mid-Ohio. Still to be answered, of course, is whether the ALMS will “follow” the IRL to the new date.

I for one would rather wait for Tracy to retire for good before Indy Cars return to Cleveland... I'm so over the chaos he use to bring to turn one.

I quite liked the chaos, it was sort of what Cleveland was about.

That looks alright, maybe even an improvement, especially if they make Turns 10 and 11 a quick esse as is mentioned in the article posted in the 2011 schedule thread.

I was looking on Google Earth and was wondering why they didn't put the pit lane between Turns 8 & 9?

Surviving train wrecks is one of the few specialties in the IRL arsenal.

They better do some road works because the streets look like something out in the middle of Kazakhstan.

looking at the layout..the railroad tracks are bit of a headache..looks like the slow chicanes before the pits try to deal with it...its not Kazakhstan though..the city is spending money to repave the roads..bringing some much needed rebuilding to the area..I don't understand why racing fans are skeptic about bringing racing to the mid-atlantic area..very little racing around here and having a big event would increase the fan base for road racing, Indy car and have a blast in Baltimore
