Since it seems fashionable to post lists of times with certain names in bold, here's mine. If you're remotely interested, I'll leave you to work out the common denominator!

Maldonado! Puts his stall out early on then?
I know it's only practice but that's a fair gap over the rest? Soucek very impressive in the DPR, maybe David will keep him on for the rest of the season to give them a yardstick, particularly after the progrethey made towards then end of last season. They'd started off this year as usual! |

Maldonado takes pole. No surprise really considering what he has done in Monaco in past two years. 2005 was memorable for not so good reasons...
Quite an interesting grid there. Code:
Driver Team Time Laps 1. Pastor Maldonado 1:21.057 19 2. Bruno Senna 1:21.235 15 3. Mike Conway 1:21.283 18 4. Adrian Valles 1:21.368 16 5. Giorgio Pantano 1:21.466 17 6. Karun Chandhok 1:21.614 18 7. Romain Grosjean 1:21.663 16 8. Sébastien Buemi 1:21.663 20 9. Andreas Zuber 1:21.667 17 10. Jérôme d’Ambrosio 1:21.773 18 11. Alvaro Parente 1:21.777 18 12. Luca Filippi 1:21.849 15 13. Vitaly Petrov 1:21.907 17 14. Adam Carroll 1:21.981 17 15. Christian Bakkerud 1:22.210 19 16. Ben Hanley 1:22.697 16 17. Kamui Kobayashi 1:22.785 20 18. If Pastor goes away from the field at 3 tenths a lap it's going to be a massacre!
Grosjean and/or Buemi sitting pretty for Sunday's race......... if they keep out of trouble?!!! |

Good one sniper, thanks for the reminder!
BTW is Race 1 live on ITV4 tomorrow, can't see it in their listings? I would've thought slotting a live race in instead of a 25 year old rerun of The Professionals wouldn't be an issue!! |

I didn't notice it in their schedules for tomorrow (but I'll check again). I did notice that they've two lots of GP2 on Saturday though, which indicates to me it might not be on tomorrow.
Think it's something like 09.25 and 14.25 (roughly) on Saturday. |

Oh and Zuber penalised 15 places on the grid, after he took Carroll out in FP. He apparently just turned left and put him into the wall, but Zuber reckons he was steering right and hit a bump which pitched him left. Either way, he's not a happy bunny.

Petrov another driver with penalty, 5 places for him due to bringing damaged car to pits and doing so impeding other drivers.

Maldonado and Senna at first line... Hope they won't clash tomorrow at Ste. Devote just after the start...

Even simple maths was never one of my strongpoints strider, or the ability to read come to that..........
Shame not on the box live then, but should be helluva race. Bruno's done a cracking job to line up 2nd so the run to St Devote will be crucial no? |

Pavlovic leaving BCN. I really hope someone strong(as Zaugg in this article) will grab the drive, as BCN with Valles showing, that it is really strong team.(at least not outsider as it seemed). |

The absence of live coverage of today's race is a bloody nuisance! Just had a text to say Bruno's leading by 5.1s from Maldonado!

But Bruno wins! My Monaco spy is with an F1 team so they obviously sit up and take notice when the GP2 races are on track. Winning at Monaco will look good on Bruno's CV, particularly beating Maldonado, the established star around there.
