All 3 Penske drivers in this Fast 6, unreal. I was hoping to see some Andretti Autosport cars in this.

I was impressed with Adam Carroll today. I didnt expect him to qualify that well. He was average in practice but really stepped it up for qualifying. He did great today with a great team behind him.

DF, do you know what's up with Viso? Seems like they must be repairing his car instead of putting him in a T car for qualifying, and that car looked like a wad.

He will be running his back-up car tomorrow. Yes, they did not get it ready in time for qualifying, which sucks. He had a good car this weekend. Yeah, that wreck was bad. He took 2 hard hits when he hit the 2 walls. Im just glad he is fine.

Thanks guys, and i just found it on KV Facebook page as well. Seems like there should have been enough time, too bad for E.J. At least they still have chassis left to run.

We did warn you about Caroll. He gained about a second between practice one and two and probably the same in quali (haven't seen the times). I'd expect him to only get quicker tomorrow too. Brilliant from someone who has barely driven one of these cars before and as far as I know never driven this track before.

Firestone put up a chart of the tire usage... looks like Helio and Justin Wilson may have an extra set of sticker reds left compared to everyone else.
Carroll got a good day of testing in at Mid-Ohio, and is cetainly demonstrating his skill so far this weekend. Maybe we could wait for a race before we give him the road course trophy? |

Yup, as I thought Caroll gained a second per session. If he carries on like this he should be as quick as power during the race.

I like ovals as well, they bring variety but the series might do better if they mixed the ovals and road/street courses better rather than putting them in blocks of four. I'd really like to see the removal of some of the cokkie cutters and a return to Pocono, Cleveland and Laguna Seca, that would really add to the mix.

Also Road America, Road Atlanta, Sebring, Mosport, Belle Isle. Who needs silly NASCRAP ovals when you got classic North American road courses?

That was a nice clean start and a good move by Power to take the lead.
