EUROCARS has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Pat Marney

I'm looking for some links, books, video's to some information on this old bike racer, if you could help, that would be fantastic.

Greystone should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Eurocars,

Do you mean Pat Mahoney (which he pronounced Marney I believe) from Crayford in Kent?

If so I met Pat a few times and have a little information about his career. Pat was a contemporary of Barry Sheene, Barry Ditchburn, Dave Potter etc. being around the UK race scene from the late 60's onwards.

As far as I remember Pat rode Matchless and AJS for Tom Kirby, Norton's for Gus Kuhn and then Yamaha two strokes (Mainly TZ700 and TZ750) for Brian Anderson IIRC.

Sadly Pat was involved in a multiple pile up at Paddock Bend at Brands Hatch which left him with serious head injuries. I understand that Pat eventually did recover from this to an extent but it was a very long and slow process. We are talking years.

As far as I know Pat remained in the North Kent/ South East London area but never raced again. Pat would be around 60 now but I have no details of his current whereabouts.

Hope this is of some help.

Andrew
