Their price is around 30,000 euro less than the lp600 I bought new in 2011. What happens when all chassis' are gone, I don't know, unless Audi keep giving them chassis'? |

Thanks for the info. Do you get the impression that they're targeting new or existing owners (upgrades)? Or they really don't mind, so long as they move them on?
Strange that we've heard publicly much less noise (apart from Mr Sanna's interview and the note about testing) about the 'official' Lambo. Even with Grasser signed up to run them, the last report I remember reading (in October) suggested they'd be manufacturing cars for customers early in the new year. Unless they're quietly soliciting business (guessing they've not approached you Scudd?), I would have expected some more info to have been forthcoming. Mr Goodwin again suggesting on MWM tonight that the Jag GT3 announcement should be coming in the relatively short-term future, wonder if they're planning on doing it at something like the Autosport show early in the year (although probably for 2016, I assume). Finally for now, some complete speculation, but I wonder if Multimatic/Ford are planning a GT3 customer version of the new car they're set to launch next year? After originally looking like a quiet year for new cars, at least by GT3's recent standards, I'm starting to think 2015 might be very busy after all. |

Theres a good bit of new gt3's next year, at least possibly.
Jaguar, Lexus, McLaren (sorta), Lamborghini, Callaway C7 and Porsche GT3 in 2015. Then 2016 you have the Mercedes AMG GT3, BMW M6, Audi R8 'LMX' (possibly even 2015) and maybe a new Nissan. Who's left? Ferrari, Bentley and Aston Martin? Am I missing someone? |

Strange decision, Cadillac wants to progress on european market and find clients in series like BES would be a good way to increase their popularity.

Cadillac sold less than 400 cars in Europe last year, I suspect that any factory-supported European events for the car would be to improve its image in the US where it's competing with European luxury brands. As they are doing by advertising it in the US as being developed/tested at the Nurburgring.
As for whether it's a GT3 car, probably not in the original spirit but, as discussed above, the rules now cater for a completely different set of cars than they originally were for. We've gone from balancing customer-only cars to ones developed especially for factory running! Hopefully this is a first year thing, much as the Bentley was run (almost exclusively) by the factory in year 1. The Dodge example might not suggest there's a US business model in GT3 though! |

And even where it is, it doesn't get very much in the way of mainstream awareness. |

Great DSC article about the busy season ahead for the GT3 marketplace:
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2014/1...o-gt3-gte.html I didn't realise that the new Audi was expected to be racing in the major events this year - new Audi vs new Porsche is a good reason for N24 or Spa 24 next year. |

Only two Corvettes in GT Masters for Calloway, but absolutely no mention of the C7 in their press release. Seems to have gone very quiet on this front but guess they're just planning for the late-year introduction.

I noticed the absence as well, had hoped to see one line at the bottom about the C7...

"...the brand plans to work with its racing partners to make the car more competitive before entering the FIA GT3 European Championship...."
Wasn't that series discontinued in 2012? Hehe. C'mon now, Motor Trend. |

Huracan GT3 unveiled. Interesting color scheme...so will Grasser race in both Blancpain series?

Guess two extra drivers wouldn't hurt for that either, although that looks more like a promotion for their Super Trofeo series, but I guess this is where they'd prefer people to graduate to from those regional one-make cars; very Porsche-style business model if so. |

Quite odd that Grasser's lead pairing from last year are not mentioned at all.
As for the car itself, those side skirts(?) should do serious tire damage to anyone who bumps into them. Otherwise, the rest of the car is as expected for a new-for-2015 GT3 car. |
