henk4 should be qualifying in the top 5 on the gridhenk4 should be qualifying in the top 5 on the grid
this is my first attempt for a list, basic data are from the Super Profile Book on the GT40 by John Allen, published in 1983, hope the info is not copyrighted.... I have added in bold cars that I have seen and photographed and positively identified. I got many more pics of cars of which I don't know what they are, like the ones owned by Newey and Hugenholtz and more, so any filling in of lacking data in the table is very welcome. I am not in any way claiming to be a Ford Historian, just want to know what I see when I come across one, and to know that it is not one of those bloody replicas....

The table is actually a spreadsheet converted to a word document. If anybody has a good idea to properly reproduce an excel table, I am all ears..

AMICALEMANS should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I think, this thread can go back to the Chassis History now

in a way, yes, but there is enough to be found on the web regarding the racing history of the racing chassis, but general info as to where all the cars (including the "street" cars) are now is a bit more scattered around and difficult to come by.

In the mean time, a little update.
1012 and 1079 are currently owned by Lecou, and are both (part) reconstructions
1010 is now owned by Adrian Newey.
1020 is part of the LeMans museum collection and was shown at the 2006 Paris salon.

Just wondering whether there is a proper method to adjust the above table, without having to constantly quote it, turning this into a multiple page thread. A 10 minutes edit period is a bit too short.....

Sorry guys, I was a bit slow on picking this up. My inclination is to put the last few posts back into the chassis archive as a separate new thread. I see Amicalemans agrees, but noting your comments, Henk, and that it is your thread, are you happy with that? As for additions or amendments, just quote the particular chassis number(s) you want to update, and we can do a revised list at a later date when we have accumulated enough additional info. to make it worthwhile.

That is fine with me. What I would ideally see is a regularly updated list (as far as it gets) where the latest updates are clearly visible (bold/italic/colour or whatever), but since I have no editing power for more than 10 minutes it should be done by somebody else.....and I'm also looking for an editor that really allows the table to be shown in a proper way.

very interesting advertisement, especially because of the fact that all words, with the exception of all "ands" and "withs" are starting with a capital....
anyway thanks for the link, I'll put the car in.

btw the linking a bit further shows 1047, MKIIB for sale in Japan. The originality looks questionable, but MKIIs had problems with that anyway....

The 1968 Blaton LM car is offered for sale (Belgium) in the December issue of Classic and sportscar (as well as #1004/1084).
Although no chassis number is mentioned, I presume this is 1079, (French license plate 6909 ZZ 92)

no price indications..

another snippet.

1065 was sold at RM earlier this month in London (where Ecclestone's 540K made the headlines with a sales price of over 8 million US$)
1065 is still a street car, originally delivered to C. Hill in Texas in 1967. In the hands of various owners since then recorded mileage is only 4500. It was sold for GBP 968.000 about 150,000 short of its lowest estimate

I don't see the MKIV cars listed.

The J5 car, which won LeMans in 1967 with Gurney & Foyt, is owned by Ford Motor Co and on permanent display at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.
