wodonnell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone know where I can get information on some of the circuits which are no longer used in CART?

In particular I am looking for circuit maps and details of how circuits have changed over the years.

In particular,

Meadowlands,
various layouts of Vancouver and Long Beach,
Denver.

Basically, the street circuits and road courses as ovals don't tend to change all that much.

Thanks.

There are a couple of web sites that have track maps and details on circuits, with varying quality track maps.

Ultimate Motorsport Information Site (http://umis.virtualave.net/index.html) is not the greatest in terms of site design, but it does have a comprehensive listing, with thousands of track maps.

Motorsport Circuits Around the World
(http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/tracks.html) is even more basic in layout, but has good track maps.

You could also try and get hold of a couple of books:

The Guinness Guide to International Motor Racing by Peter Higham (Guinness Publishing, 1995), is a comprehensive reference book, with nice chapter on circuits, including track maps and a history of changes.

A Guide To Motorsport Circuits of the World by Tony Sakkis (Airlife, 1994) lists thousands of circuits, country by country, with roughly half the book devoted to the USA. The track maps are pitiful in the main, but the histroy of each track is very useful.

Finally, the Racer's Travel Guide To North American Track by Judy Preston (Motorbooks International, 1991) is a nice balance, with track history, maps and notes by Carroll Smith on how to drive the circuits.
