Yes, a little disheartening, and all the more so given some of the rumours which were flying around. I was looking forward to an Arnoux/Tambay Ferrari!

Just goes to show what happens if you effectively abandon the N-GT class.

LM could have had an all LMP race in 2000/2001 but kept places available for the GTS and GT cars. You never know when you will need these cars to boost grid numbers.

I seriously doubt that even back in 2000 or 2001 u could have had a 50 car grid for Le Mans full of LMP 900 and LMP 675 class cars. Maybe 35-40, but 50?!? I find that hard to beleive, unless of course your talking about dusting off the cobwebs of some of the older cars like the BMW V12 LMR etc.

In 2000 or 2001 they could have had a full grid of 40 odd LMP cars. Not all were competitive cars of course.

Yes, but the regular ammount of entrants prior to 2002 was 48 cars overall. Now it is 50. So u really coudnt have a race with nothing but LMP class cars, well u could, but only say 35 of them would be top line cars.

But thats the way FIA GTs is going. 20 top line GTS cars and the rest are fillers. If they focused more on N-GT they could have had 35+ entrants wil 10+ N-GT cars.

Yes so do i, and as the series grows I hope we will get better coverage than we have done previously. But then, Moto GP will begin soon. Still I found this news article encouraging. http://www.eurosport.co.uk/home/page...to564491.shtml

STOP PRESS: Lister may not be at Monza after 2 of their 4 drivers just quit. Toto Wolf and Paul Knapfield and as stated above, Wolf will drive with Wendlinger and Robert Lechner. Knapfield will run in one of the other 2 JMB 575's

wow, this is big news to me. hope lister finds the drivers and funds to run at monza! (their cars should be on the transporter right now?)

Silly question: Lister bankruppt? Sorry, but if 4 drivers leave the boat, there will have to be big problems...

Bad tempered Laurence Pearce has a lot of responsability in this kind of things I think.

And remember Deletraz left mid season last year - now he's back with Barron Connor Ferrari team.

It is rather strange, now who could be replacements?

Mike Jordan perhaps? Nicolaus Springer? Even Tiff Needell?

Wheres Philippe Favre now?
