the BEST looking car of 2008
so its time for another one of those threads which there is usually about ten of each year in one form or another, but now that the ALMS and LMS have both kicked off and we have seen the cars in all their glory, what is the prettiest car out there?
now obviously hold judgement on the FIA GT cars as the FIA GT season has not started yet but from what ive seen so far the FIA GT cars are quite vile. so your favorite car or cars? LMS LMP1:2008 oreca LC70 judd, it looks fabulous on track, the new bodywork i like, it looks more like LMP900 bodywork at the front and somehow is lower and meaner looking, and i like that a lot, the lola aston ofcourse has the second best paintscheme, it reminds me a lot of the 2005 oreca R8 LMP2ebah speedy lola judd, its definetely a very pretty car and has a very pretty paintjob, but the saulnier pescarolo has the best paintscheme and the pescarolo is naturally a very pretty LMP GT1:larbre saleen, no competition for it, the modena aston is second prettiest but the alphand corvette's are astoundingly dull as is the spartak lambo GT2:the spyker's are still hands down the best cars looks wise in GT2, the IMSA matmut porsche is a close second ALMS LMP1:the intersport lola AER is a bloody good looking car, the autocon creation is alright and the R10 is astoundingly boring LMP2:the patron acura is very very nice, but i have a soft spot for all things lime green and black GT1:the 2008 corvettes are the best looking corvette's ive seen in a long time, the black wheels make it look so much meaner GT2:i like the porsches and ferrraris a lot but the panoz is still the best looking GT2, and in PTG's yokohama advan colours the best looking car combined with the best paintjob is a seriously good looking race car, oh and then there is that V8 soundtrack so fire away everyone |

908! Every time, the 908.
Whatever livery, Lambo is god too. Race Alliance should be the pic in FIA GT. |

The front of the Dome S102 certainly reminds me of the good old 3.5L cars...

Lola Aston, and Lola Judd.
I just love that new coupe. The Harlequin Orecas are somewhat pretty too. As said elsewhere, the Lambo is sex on a stick, don' matter what colour... Virgo's F430. ALMS? Wazzat then? |

I myself am partial to the Acura ARX-01b in the Highcroft/Patron livery.

The two Lola Coupes, the Van Merksteyn (sp) RS Spyder, while the Alphand Corvette looks great in white.

IMO the best of the LMP2 cars is the Horag Racing RS Spyder.

I'd say one of the Lola coupes, but I don't really like the livery of either. For some reason I think that car would look better in a solid color. My pick is the Fernandez Acura. I like the B/K Mazda a lot too.

P1: Rollcentre Pescarolo, Epsilon Barazi and Creation AIM.
P2: Van Merksteijn Porsche, Welter Racing and Saulnier Pescarolo. GT1: Larbre Saleen and Corvette Racing C6.R. GT2: Tafel 430s, Flying Lizard Porsches and of course the Vantage V8 (too bad it doesn't sound like its looks). |

The nice Mr.Jones has a LOT of pix from Barca.
http://www.rdj-pics.co.uk/Photos/200.../LMSBAR09.html Is the Lola Aston. See the Art&Photography forum for the main links. Sadly, the Autosport image is for subscribers only... |
