You beat me to it, Will!

38 Porkers in the separate 911 race (2 litre cup), but still 77 cars in the 60s Endurance.......

Tough timetable for us- we seem to be out first thing every day, but also be on track in the evenings! Fingers crossed some reasonable weather to compensate....

Yes, well done PA, good marketing. There were a lot a 911's 2 litre racing in France, but only four of them will show up at Spa. Hope this will improve.

Long range forecast is currently rain.....but it’s Spa, so anything is possible when we actually get there!

The only part I am not looking forward to is the now normal unnecessary aggravation at scrutineering......I wonder what trivial item we are going to be clobbered for this time......last time it was our number roundels were the wrong type 🙄

Yes but look, we all agree upon the fact that scrutineering is a must together with keeping the cars compliant and period correct. During Tour Auto, they checked the E Types engine capacity, its a good thing. As to your number roundels, may be you can ask for an accommodation this is present in PA regulation. And if you really want a technical hassle free weekend, be slow for once!
Have fun and good luck!

Gerard completely agree, cars need to be safe and compliant, and I have no issue with being checked for this, and as you say this is a good thing....we could just do without the nit picky things that don’t fall into either of those categories!

As for the being slow bit.....we will have to see about that!!!!

I know what you're talking about. I think it was 2011 and 2012, my car was carefully checked at the end of each race. They refused to put seals at least on the engine having rather put the hassle on only one driver. Little bit boring… And they are too often focused on the engines which is not the only thing to make a car fast or faster or too fast!
I know you won't be slow. There is a good reason to that … you can't!

Beeb forecast changes every day, but there is a pattern- they just swap round the dry and wet days!

Have you got the creases out of those roundels yet?

Will annoys all those early 911’s to the point where they have run away and started their own race away from the 60,s GT series.

Insightful and thoughtful I thought!
Should be a very electric win by one of those original 911’s.

Anyone travelling to Spa might like to know that there is a major public transport strike in Belgium on Wednesday and some lesser ones Thursday through Saturday.

No idea what the effect will be but it's unlikely to improve the road traffic!

Thanks Peter. Our team are travelling Thursday to Brussels on Eurostar, so hopefully it will all be over by then! I’m legging it through the city in the early hours, so touch wood it won’t be any worse than usual.....
