Yes, a lot people associate the Scoobys with the blue and yellow liveried cars they used in the WRC

I believe so. I think Toyota shifted three times as many GT86s than Subaru did BRZs last year in Europe.

If I was weighing up essentially identical cars in that class, I’d probably buy the Toyota. If I wanted a tamed WRC car with 4WD, I’d probably go for a Scooby.

A shame those Infinities are no longer used.

Does anyone have any background info on them? Ie were they good cars, bad cars?

I think being rear wheel drive they had potential to be good cars but the team was so badly run on all levels they were not developed as well as they should be.
As far as im aware the same people still own the cars as randomly I see facebook or twitter posts that they are planning to reenter but I think Mr Gow has them filed next to Andy Neate somewhere

I could be wrong on this, apologies if so, but I seem to remember Tony Gilham having an option to either run/purchase/lease the cases, but going for the CCs instead.

To be expected as they are running with Hampton by Hilton on the cars this year, and Hampton's colours are blue.

Announcement was made on 13th March.

The turquoise on the roof is definitely very different to the 2017 livery.

Looks like orange on the HARD car too - I would guess will follow the orange, pink, green highlights as last year + maybe 'Brisky' blue varying with each car?

SAP sponsoring Turkington. Great to see a large company like this sponsoring someone in the BTCC - http://www.colinturkington.com/turki...ship-with-sap/

There was been one on display at Knockhill last year when the Super Tourers visited, and Derek Palmer was there driving one of the super tourers in the race - I was certainly under the assumption that they still own the cars.

As is the way with most of these deals, it is likely to be an in-kind sponsorship. Turkington Holdings likely have a business relationship with SAP and this "sponsorship" exposure is just an added bonus.

(serious question - what happened to the Vauxhalls?)
