Hmm. Looks like AF corse have ditched the series, as have Ebimotors. the Baporo didn't materialise, or the second AMG Gt or third BMW.

They don't seem to be able to gain or keep cars this year

Despite a pretty lacklustre entry list, there's been some absolutely brilliant close fighting in Race 1. If only this series could find a 20 car grid

I think this series should accept CN and LMP3 (open engine rules , including Ginetta G57 ). All 3 categories in the same competitive conditions so that anyone can get an overall victory. I remember with pleasure the battles between P1 and P2 in the ALMS. We also have many series GT3 and in this way could be different and perhaps interesting.

Had a canny day at Silverstone yesturday, despite the grid numbers being down there was sum great racing and for once the British weather didn't disrupt things.

As far as the championship goes, Hondafan i think you got a great idea. The championship is called GT Open, so why not open it up to all types of GT racing. This would help it stand out because as it stands, its just another GT3 championship.

Anyway here a few vids from yesturday, one for the GT Open and one for the Formula V8 3.5.

The series used to stand out by allowing full GTE and GT3 cars into the field. That ended in 2013. The series has been downhill ever since. It should just die already and help reduce the over-saturation of sportscar racing series on the planet.

Pretty interesting bunch of additions to the next GT Open race at RB Ring next week, with possibly another 2-3 to come.

SF Racing by FFF Racing Team will bring a literally brand new 488 GT3 for Fu Songyang and Andrea Calderelli

Lechner Racing bring their AMG GT3 with Thomas Jäger at the wheel alongside Mario Plachutta.

Ebimotors / Jericho Racing are back after a few races out with their Huracan, for Chicco Busnelli and Fabio Babini.

To add to that, Adam Carroll is jumping in the Balfe McLaren to replace Phil Keen.

Potentially also another BMW and another Mercedes joining the line up too.

Some really interesting drivers there, red bull should be a good race weekend!!

What a shame, only 12 cars participated in FP.
6 old vehicles - 2 SLS, 3 650S, a Vantage and 2 new heawy M6 F13. should be the end of the series.

Shame about only 12 but no problem with variety.

Another race where numerous additional entries are promised, only for a dozen to actually turn up on the day, then.

I've enjoyed some of the racing in GT Open this year despite the grid sizes, but so many entries failing to turn up each time (continuously) can't be good for the series.

Their Instagram account is a major tease.

They post these sneak peeks of new entries every day that end up not happening

They posted like 2-3 pics of an HB Lamborghini, from GT Masters, saying exciting new entry etc.... Nothin

Still, really any one of 10 or so on the grid are strong enough to win, so the racing should be good.

I have also really enjoyed the quality of races this year, just love to see more cars
