This is great news for the series. Shows how well the series is growing here.

I see this rule revamp is for the endurance series only if I've read the article correctly. |

Good news
however as pointed out its for the enduro season only. Whereas its probably the sprint rounds that I have the most issues with it, |

Yes it is. Hopefully the Endurance Series can become a mini BES in this region using the same regs so teams all over Asia Pacific want to enter. I know we have GT Asia already but Aus GT has a greater depth of quality in my eyes. |

The series has a much better chance of survival as long as the rules cater for those who pay the bills than the fans unfortunately. Maybe one day it will be big enough but is there really enough money in our little pond to support 2 full blown professional series? Not likely so we have to enjoy it for what it is. Quote:
I've only seen little bits and pieces of the Asian GT, only teams I know anything of are those who came out here for the 12hr. |

Maybe no Huracan but right now on Phillip Island there's enough rain for a hurricane. Forecast is better for the weekend.

Pole for Tander
Both BMWs showing pace too, not a bad effort from Tebb in the Walky Porky. |

Considering how fast the Audi across the top of the Mount it's no surprise to see one on pole.

Anyone know where to watch AUS GT from Europe? Ideally on demand?
The races are on YouTube in super low resolution, be nice to see in higher quality Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

101 about to start. Encouraging to see Spengler in the red Bimmer on that front row. Should be an interesting afternoon

Congrats to Nathan Morcom and Australia's fastest game show host Grant Denyer for winning the 101 today. Great to see the race not being interrupted by the safety car, green flag all the way. I really thought that Van Gisbergen was going to get Morcom on that last lap but didn't happen.

One more lap would have made things interesting, but it is not the 102 race is it? Well done to Morcom and Dryer.

Went out today for the 101, second time visiting and really enjoy it out there, freezing, but so much fun with camera in hand.
How anyone thinks that GT3 replacing V8 Supercars from is a bad idea, from an on track/racing perspective at least, baffles me. Variety, noise, cool looking cars, decent amount of passing, I dig them. If all the pit stops were out and out pit stops there'd be quite the nice top tier series. Anyways, some pics, and a full album with hi res (made for 1920x1080) can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/GlxTH |

I'm still waiting for the Panoz GT3 to arrive... I think it looks fantastic but still not as tough as the Reiter Gallardos. |

This car is wasted on Manolios - he is proven to be too slow when driving decent cars he's just way out of his depth.
All kudos though for bringing the cars out though |
