no, once they get their 2nd car going stateside that will double their development rate and they should be getter 6-10 laps in by then! just kidding, I think they will actually complete a good portion of Sebring this year.

Hi villamas from Costa Rica, one of my favorite places! I have made a few trips to Zona Sur.

Is this the first ALMS season without a Panoz of any kind?

Also, some thread said that PTG was working toward a car for later in the year, anyone know what that would be?

BMW had one car with no motor in it and the other was sitting by the transporter up on jacks when I walked by them today.....as for the Aston it was also missing its engine when I looked in their pits at about 3pm.

Track conditions could be part of it, but it must be remembered that Audi ran their R15s at that test with 2009 bodywork and perhaps 2009 air restrictor/turbocharger boost maxout-the 2.5% smaller restrictor and 5% boost drop should in theory take away about 25-40hp on top end. But the R15 showed last year that theoretically losing about 7-10% power didn't slow the cars at all, really-if anything, it made the diesels easier to drive, and drive fast.

Actually I spent a lot of time yesterday with my friend and fellow Channel Islander Andy Priaulx and he told me that BMW Motorsport had flown in 2 brand new engines which were being installed yesterday for practice, qualifying and the race, barring any unforeseen problems. So it was a planned day off for the drivers!

Peaugeot have changed the tub of No.8 due to cracks.

#Peugeot replaced tub on 08 car this AM. Found small crack on flooring during routine team check, presumably from bumps. #alms #sebring12

Hasn't this happen before during a routine check? I seem to remember a similar story from last year either at Sebring or Petit. I'm sure the drivers are glad the team catches these things!
