Must see footage for all Formula Atlantic buffs....

I stumbled onto this earlier today and felt it worthy of a new thread. I haven't watched all of it yet, but I'm sure I will, many, many times.

It's a video compilation of some of the CanadianTV coverage of the Atlantic series in the '70s. It starts in '75.

According to the info I read, this compilation was put together by James King's son Alex.

It's about 30 minutes long and definitely not in high definition.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here is my set of Atlantic pics in my flickr snaps.

since I wasn't quick enough to edit my original post......

I've watched the whole thing now. The title is a bit misleading. The video is just about some of the races in '75.

I hope more of the footage from the '70s can be made available. It's a major story in the history of open-wheel racing.

Great Marc! Fist time I have seen any footage of canadian Atlantic of that era or Gilles pre F1. Title as you say is misleading-clearly a one -off documentary made in 1975.Not sure how James King's son comes into it-doubt he was born then.

All the Atlantic races were televised in Canada in those days, on a tape delayed basis.

I hope King's son can get access to more tapes and get them out for the world to see. That would be a major addition to the history of the sport.
