mtpanorama should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I am going to start a new V8 supercar game. It is called spot the passing manovure. The person who can spot the most passes by the end of the year(which you will be able to count on your fingers and toes) gets to go and tell king Tony C what he can do with his V8 supercar rules and tell him how to fix it so there is a little more on track excitement.

About the only passing that occurs these days is in the pits and that is just luck of the draw, and out on the track the cars are so close you have to do what Ambrose did today(eastern creek) to Murphy and you end up getting penalised for it.

Things need to before people stop watching because it is to boring.

But have a look at Eastern Creek:

Turn 1- you need to get a fantastic run out of the last turn to be able to get past.
2- Good passing spot, but can be protected.
3- If you're lucky you can get a switch back.
4- You would have to be doing well to get by here.
5- Nope
6- Nope
7- Nope
8- Nope
9- Yeah, possible passing spot
10- nope
11- nope
12- nope

But then again, have a look at Saloon Car racing. V6 Falcons and Commodores with standard bodies- absolutley fantastic racing...bring it on!

There was some passing at the Creek..it was just mainly channel 10's horrible coverage that didnt show us any of it...really the Creek coverage was a huge let down..missing all the action , not showing replays of incidents and then the "Barry line" every 5 minutes.

but I do agree that there isnt enough passing and the Creek isnt the best place in the world for any kind of racing let alone a big V8.

Well i do think they were a bit harse on Lowndes in race 1. Murphy was on the pit exit road when Lowndes past him and Ambrose should've been ok, cause Radisich did worse to Skaife @ Adelaide.

i agree with Sheene though they r "consistantly inconsistant"

I believe it is channel 10 policy not to show passing moves, that's why they cut to an ad break when one car catches another.

Actually, I can report from personal experience, ie. last weekend that there are a few passing places at Eastern Creek.

Turn 2 definitely, either side is fine.
Turn 3 forget it.
Turn 4 I never managed it
Turn 5, 6 & 7 same again
Turn 8 As if!
Turn 9 every lap nearly
Turn 10 & 11 only if you don't mind rubbing paint
Turn 12 I never m,aanged that one either

And I'm proud to say I passed a Lotus Cortina, around the outside at Turn 1. Hoo boy!!!!

David, only half of the film used...will use the rest hopefully this weekend at Wakefield Park.

T2 - agreed
T3 - switchback? that gets you on the wrong side of the track. Really only a passing spot if the driver stuffs T2.
T4 - possible at least but difficult
T5 - HA!
T6 - unlikely
T7 - too close to T6
T8 - only if you like the beach would you try
T9 - yes
T10 - if you have a hugely better run out of 9
T11 - too close to 10
T12 - wouldn't suggest it, but is possible.
