when/if the korean rounds are confirmed. right now, the korean F1 is up in the air, because the f1 teams are worried about accomodation for their drivers(the track is far away from anything, 350kms+ from Seoul i think). so the f1 will book out all nearest hotels, leaving NO accomodation for the supporting series(incl fbmw). so the korean race(F1) might not go ahead, and FBMW will either go to japan for super gt, or china.
the AFOS korean race may still be on. |

yes, Eurointernational was good, but please get up from your knees !
they bring the Euro Champion and Euro top 5 drivers ! as far as i can remember only one Asian Driver was able to be close to them ! all other miles away, why ????? its very easy to say they have super engines and super setup, reality is that it comes down to the drivers and their abilities including their fitness and strength physical and mental. this is the last comment from me, unfortunatly have to work to get some money. some talking in here is without common sense. wish you all a good guessing time and productive rumors |

Not so sure when reading all these posts about legal engines not but one ting is clear - take the cat off, play with the pot and run a straight pipe - you will gain speed, simple as that. Try it on the engine dyno, not a roller!
As we all know there are teams who "created' test engines to get kiddo into the car, series and into daddy's wallet. No? Just look at the history of ALL FBMW series. Teams even go that far to extent this "service' into the official race, practice or Qualifying days. Not true either? See above! I agree that this subject is one of becoming more silly than informative - partly also due to my commentaries as what is for one a goose is for the other a.....! Sad to say! To refrain from comments is harder to do than just to respond. See also Lam Pak's efforts to change facts from fiction - perhaps we all should write facts and rumours in different categories! Or at least mention that it is a fact or rumour. The 1.5 + or - hp of that K1200 "Schnitzer motor" - this is a definate rumour! Buy 5 of them and test on an engine dyno - there are some with less than 144hp new on the market - but will that make a difference in real time? For sure - 3/4 km straight and top speed after changing a new to another new related to 4 km/p faster - and yes even after air/track temp and conditions were calculated. |

Official Schedule
It's up on AFOS.com so I guess it is official now:
2 - 4 April 2010 (Malaysian F1) ( Rd 1 & 2 ) Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia 14 - 16 May 2010 (AFOS) ( Rd 3, 4, 5 & 6 ) Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia 27 - 29 Aug 2010 (AFOS) ( Rd 7, 8, 9 & 10 ) Korean International Circuit, Korea 24 - 26 Sept 2010 (Singapore F1) ( Rd 11 & 12 ) Marina Bay Circuit, Singapore 22 - 24 Oct 2010 (Korean F1) ( Rd 13 & 14 ) Korean International Circuit, Korea 19 - 21 Nov 2010 (Macau GP) ( Rd 15) Guia International Circuit, Macau A nice mix between F1 exposure and lots of track time (AFOS events) I think. |

I think the calendar is still provisional for both Korea events.
Any update from Sepang tests on March 1 and 3 ? How many cars and who was fast ? |

i dont disagree with your views here however teh asian way of doing things is not howe europeans do it andprovisional dates is a fairly standard way of doing things. There are too many politics involved with certain nations track owners and this causes these delays and i agree it is not good for the racing when teams are trying to recruit paying drivers to race in a series where there are no confiemed dates- It would certainly not encouarge me to spend money there but I think the teams know how the system works and can talk this through with potential drivers/managers and they learn what to expect
I learnt after afew years of going to Japan Yes means no! once you get that into your head it all falls into place! |
