Wasn't Mclaren running with last year's wing (illegal for 2004) at a test a while back? It was discussed on here, but can't remember which thread it was.

Rumours from within Bridgestone if it aint painted red they don't want to know you take what your given. Says a lot for the prospects of anyone else getting some help to develop their car and that includes Suaber.

Crashing within 6 corners of your first F1 test has to be some kind of record. Come back Erik Comas, all is forgiven.
So far it seems like McLaren have been faster than Williams, but Williams' reliability looks extremely impressive. I don't think anyone else has completed one trouble-free race simulation, let alone two. Things are very even right now, with Renault's launch having supposedly gone quite well and Ferrari waiting in the wings. |

The fastest 2--3 car has been Williams, not McLaren. The MP4-19 has beaten the Williams once, but only with three element rear wing.

Errm, Mclaren havent been at Barcelona this week have they? so how can a comparison be made.
As for Williams reliability, that must be why I keep seeing pictures of Ralf standing next to his car as its lifted onto the back of a low loader?? Times arent really that indicative at the moment due to different fuel loads, wings, setup and tyres. Will have to wait until Australia for the first REAL comparison of the season. Sounds like Jordan are having a rough time....oopps that must hurt the wallet. Sounds like he will have to take Jos on, just for the cash. |

2 tow backs over that many miles is hardly a concern |

Just heard from Barcelona today (Thurs) that Button has unofficially smashed the circuit record!...It was so fast the Circuit officials deleted it from the time sheets before lunch!

Yep Button smashed to pieces and then stomped on them.Good to see Mark got the R5 to do better then 1.20s and it can only get faster. If all these cars that are quick now stay that way when they get to Aussie look out at turn 4 its going to be fun.

Not true!..just low fuel...it makes more differance than people realise. JB said he could have squeezed another two tenths given another run!
