I would say Monaco was the 27th most challenging track in the rain.

Great lap by Danni Ric. Super smile in the press conference too.

And, I think, he starts on the better tyre. The main disadvantage being off the line, but it is a short run to Sainte Devote.

The pole lap was brilliant!
Equally important was the lap in Q2 on the Supersofts allowing him to start on the more durable tyre.
Gives him a considerable stategy advantage if as you say Adam he can get it off the line OK.

The weather seems to be soaked AM but from 2PM forward only small chance for rain.

Someone on Autosport said that the last time when Grand Prix was started with full wet weather tires and without SC was Shanghai 2010... ... so yeah what are the chances here again. Of course Charlie will start it behind SC and on lap 17 finally lets them loose, only for first one to switch inters for dry tires two laps later.

I think Max has the great opportunity to brill today... If he could overtake under the rain at Monaco, finish on points positions despite being even 7th, he could impress well.

There's a report on Autosport that Daniil Kvyat's car failed scrutineering. Not sure if that is a grid place penalty or pit lane start.

"Daniil Kvyat has escaped penalty ahead of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix after his Toro Rosso failed a post-qualifying inspection test.

The stewards have accepted an explanation from the team that Kvyat damaged the car when running over a kerb during the final part of qualifying."

How many laps it will be before Max and (?) are back in the barriers?

Monaco is not the place for heroics.

Monaco 22 highly motivated drivers, a drying track and you could have a very disjointed race, expect several minor crashes and SC putting a few miles on the clock

This, sadly is the state of where F1 is these days when it comes to full wet running. 25 laps behind safety car with drivers at the front saying it's too wet and drivers at the back saying; no it's good, let's go. It will be 2 laps of full wet tyre running, then onto Inters.

You really begin to think what's the point of running full wets if they're going to be behind the SC until it's time for inters. This is where F1 has become health and safety gone mad
