Sorry, can't agree Cy - the Norma will not see out the night.

(There, that guarantees it a top 15 placing..... )

I agree Ayse, Norma (this year's Debora surely) will not make it to the end. Probably in competition with the Durango or one of the weaker 675s for first to drop out. As for a 911 on the podium, not a chance. Perhaps if the VAG entries have problems (and it has the reliability) one of the Prodrive Ferraris could potentially make it, but I would be very surprised.

God it is getting close now, butterflies in the stomach thinking about the weekend. Just wish I was there now, next year I will definitely be going for longer, I really miss the build up and atmosphere.

The Norma was my "First to Flame Out" pick in the predict the winner thread that closed at the beginning of the week...

I don't think they will finish 15th in their class...

I'm still wearing my black armband this week in honor of Taurus Lola...

aha!

So that's why the Norma is so slow - the Corvettes keep getting in its way, probably broken down again....

Just as a foot note - that each driver is within 110% of the fastest car in its’ category – at present that is 3.58.783. Last night the Norma's best lap was 4.08.081.......

Correct Team Nasamax did a time of 4.01.666 last night, but I see from Autosport that they reckon there is another 7 seconds in the car.

and it looks as if there is a 125% rule as well -

To quote the offical regulations article 9.7 "to 125% of the average of the best 3 laps set by 3 cars of different makes"

So it still might get in

I agree about the waste of the invite, but was looking forward to rooting for this year's Debora. Always a laugh to see prototypes overtaken by 911s as well!

No more Grand-Am jokes please!

Alright, so the top 15 prediction was a bit bold... - looks like a DNQ for the Norma. Ouchhh.

Maybe they can take it back to South Florida and use it for a planter...

I envision a big palm tree plopped right into the cockpit....

Taurus has to be pulling their hair out right now....
