David should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Let's see - Budweiser Red, Intimidator Black and Left-Over Millennium Yaller - now you have a 2001 Daytona 24 hour celebrity car (or is that a C5-R?)

I love it!

I don't know. I guess it will grow on me, since I am a major Earnhardt fan and a major sports car fanatic.

Where did you find this picture?

I still like the 1999 black and silver GM Goodwrench paint jobs. Although, I do like the yellow/white paint job they had at the start of the year, through Le Mans.

Pilgrim's record speaks for itself. Big E was the track record holder at Watkins Glen a few years ago (driving with a broken sternum and shoulder), won Sears Point in 1996, and was close to victory at several road races throughout his career. Little E, although seemingly in trouble this year, won Watkins Glen last year in a Busch car, and does quite well on road courses. So, I think (hope) they will hold their own.

Jared,

Do I remember that you were the first person to tell me what color the 2000 Daytona C5-R cars would be? Did I actually scoop you on this one?

Glad to return your kindness! I just lucked into this one while trying to further load up my credit card and my overloaded model shelves. The picture came from:
http://www.diecastmuscle.com/images/action/act5.jpg

Diecast Muscle has the car on their website as:
Action Item#5 1/18th diecast
C5-R 2001 Daytona
Dale Earnhardt
Dale Earnhardt Jr
Andy Pilgrim
Apr 2001
$65

Regards,
David

I don't know, since this presidential election is slowly frying my brain. I think I remember posting something about the "Millenuim Yellow" Corvettes earlier this year (after reading about it on another site), but to tell you the truth, I really don't know. I don't want to take credit for it if I didn't.

Either way, thanks for the picture.
