Do you remember the awful Stallone movie Driven?
Luckily I don't, as I never saw it. But this review, written on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of its debut ("because it sure as hell doesn’t deserve a 20th") is probably more entertaining than actually watching it.

I have and it is a dreadful movie on so many levels, from the terrible story line, to some of the on track action that's truly absurd.

I haven't seen it, but I've always heard how terrible it was. And reading that article is probably enough for me. It's painful enough to read how terrible it was bit by bit without actually watching it!

Nascar is scheduled to race on May 17 and 20 at Darlington, on May 24 and 27 at Charlotte, and May 31 and Kansas.


IndyCar is scheduled to race on June 6 at Texas. If Nascar finds any problem at those races, IndyCar can cancel it.

Teams are back at the shop in Indiana, guessing soon to be authorized in NC (Penske), Ohio (MSR), Illinois (Coyne) and Texas (Foyt, some of it).

Already authorized in North Carolina — with a few exceptions, all “non-essential” business can reopen at 5pm on Friday. (NASCAR was recently put in the essential column here, not sure if that extended to IndyCar and IMSA.)

Indy will run at Texas, if all stays as planned, on June 6. Single day event with everything on June 6 so the race has been shortened to 200 laps, start at 845 pm.

They also said the rest of the schedule is confirmed at the 2020 schedule. Of course that's confirmed for them so we'll see as the summer goes along

No one is expecting the Toronto IndyCar and CTMP IMSA race weekends in early July to happen, despite both continuing to be listed on the schedules of their respective series. As far as I know, anyone crossing the border would be required to be quarantined for 14 days, along with all of the other restrictions in place making these events extremely unlikely. The prospect of building a temporary circuit for a race with no spectators seems to be particularly nonsensical.
The cancellation of the May CTMP World Challenge weekend was announced on April 3, six weeks before it was to happen, so I would assume it won't be much longer until we hear of the official cancellations or postponements of the July 2020 events.

I agree, and it really, really sucks. I was looking forward to watching some racing this summer.
