Try refreshing your browser - it's definately in the new style here
 If that fails, hold down [ctrl] whilst you click refresh (MSIE) or [shift] in Netscape...

I posted a picture using the upload from local computer option and it's not there. Not a problem as I can upload one myself but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Don't be shy peeps. If you are in the photo gallery already then it ain't gonna make much difference

The only problem I could replicate with uploading a photo is when the directory you are uploading it from contains a space:
c:/My Documents failes... c:/website/10tenths/html works fine... Hope this helps |

It doesn't work for me either.
I've tried everything, but I can't get my photo uploaded. I want to upload it from my hard drive, I'm not using any spaces or commas etc. but even after refreshing a dozen times, there's nothing to see. |

OK then, if there is a problem, please post full details here - ie OS, browser version, etc. And please let me know if you are able to post photos in topics too...?

OK, I've tried again to upload my picture but it still won't work.
Posting a picture inside a topic also fails. I use Internet Explorer 5.01, my OS is Windows 98. One thing I noticed. I have an icon in my taskbar where I can see whether something is downloaded or uploaded. Whenever I click the button to upload my picture, that particular icon doesn't show anything, in other words, nothing is being uploaded. By the way, the picture I'm trying to post is a jpg file of 200 x 150 pixels and it's size is 10260. |

I'm having the same trouble
 Tried to use one of the images of me from the Gallery - too big. Downloaded one (hope that was ok... ) reduced it to 250 x 250 in Photoshop and tried to upload from my harddrive. Soon realised that I had to check a box to say "Yes,I wished to change my photograph" () Tried that too but still nothing.Must have tried about ten times, still no joy. Sorry. I haven't tried attaching an image to a post yet; I'll give that a go. |

As long as you have okay'd it with the photographer, Sparky, it's not a problem.
I am on OS Win 98, IE V 5.00 and no luck from c: drive but I have managed to upload it straight from the gallery as I have that luxury photo gallery if you don't know what I am on about. (Am I plugging this too much? )

No use - it's still exactly what it was before you made the improvements and nothing will convince it to update itself. I've also lost all the smilies at the bottom of the reply thing, all the VB choices, and the "attach picture here" option.
Probably aliens. |

The attach file option is still there, but I did remove the instant smilies and vb code buttons as they were causing some problems with certain browsers. Watch this space for a new improved version coming as soon as I get a minute
With regard to the photos not uploading to the profile page - the software developers have been informed I look forward to an early fix. In the meantime however, i've removed the 'upload from your pc' option as the 'upload from web' option works just fine. If you are unable to upload a file to some webspace, email me and i'll see if I can't help

I'd love to have a go at downloading a photo from the gallery and uploading it to my own site, so that I can link to it. But I'm a bit concerned that the photo isn't mine to use.

After reading all of the above, I just had to go and try it, considering the problems I had in the Pet forum (due to Geocities, not 10/10ths).
And, am happy to report all went well, picture displayed perfect (uploading from the net) Now all I have to do is check out all the other peeps pictures - Sparky looks as spunky as ever!!

Spunky is good!!!
And I never end up in pictures with Satch, because I am always the one taking photos of him!! Good idea though, maybe those of us with pets should see if we can find photos of pet with owner...that way everyone can do the "how much does the owner look like their pet" routine!
