I think they've definitely missed something this weekend. Cold and rainy with no tire warmers doesn't help but it does appear that they have missed it

Bad in different ways. At least there's no IMSA fans pretending the tyres are good. F1 fans are bloody mental in their defence of Pirelli. You can have 3 punctures in an hour and they'll say "only 3! That's brilliant. Remember Pirelli were told to make the tyres crap!"

I'm thinking Pirelli might be worse but they get to heat the tires before mounting them. The cold temps, while not unexpected, have killed these tires. And I'm thinking some GTD teams are running slightly lower pressures than recommended to get the grip they want and so it's a little of both adding up.

Sorry but we've been in COLD rain at Petit as well so it's not one event only. And Conti could do something with their trucks to warm the tires, not as easy as tires tents but something. Plus how many of these teams use heaters in the garage for the crews?? And having a seemingly VERY hard rain tire is killing them, think it's one compound for the year with the rains but softening it a bit might be needed.

GT on to slicks now too, and slicks on prototype pit walls.

Just got up, pleasantly surprised the Mazda is still running. Baby steps I guess. Seems like the ESM challenge died during the night. GTLM is the best race now.

So EVERY driver's ears??? It's the release compound and a VERY hard tire, they aren't wearing on the dry banking so obviously the tires are too damn hard for the conditions. Especially as the Michelin's have not had the same problem as Contis

If the tyres take 8 (eight) laps to get any sort of temperature then there's something wrong. These are the same tyres that we're so bad that a GT car comfortably beat the Prototypes at PLM. The drivers can only take so much responsibility. The product is crap.

He does every time any product comes up. This is better than web Nissan we're vomiting up lies with a hashtag at every opportunity. But it keeps the coverage free for us, so I'll take it. It's still better than everything else.
