Favourite colour scheme?

Just a thought: Was watvhing some youtube Group B stuff the otehr day adnw as struck at the colour schemes that seemed better in those days

Or is it just me?

Totip Lancia
Tabaton Esso Lancia
Computervision, how anything made that Metro look good I dont know!
Simple Renault white and yellow worked so well
Mazda blues and white worked on all their cars
Castrol Toyota
Bastos on Snijers cars

Some older ones

Alitalia Lancia
Allied Polymer Escort
Fiat dark blue and yellow
Why does German Opel yellow and black work so well!

I can't think of many modern colours that I like though?

Original Peugeot 206 white and blue
The Focus of Martin and Duval with Mobil and BP was nice

But other than that none really! Weird how tese are all sponsored cars yet designs seemed better in those days, even the 80's.

I think the factory Skodas (S2000) look good, also the Peugeot uk 207 S2000 is a nice livery. I don't think much of the works Citroen coulour schemes but Kimis Red Bull livery looks better. I'm fairly sure you're just remembering the good stuff and your brain has blotted out the horrors of the past (Have to say I'm not a fan of the Totip Lancias though - Martini colours suited them much better)

I have to say, regarding the DS3 liveries, i like Petter's paint scheme. It seems to suit the car as it's a break from the 'norm' regarding any type of Red Bull paint scheme, i.e. F1 / Rallying.

Anyone who prefers Martini to Totip really has no taste! Cmon Bert

Worst scheme? Peugeot in silver! Seat with Repsol never worked for me.

Never liked the Escort Cossie tiger stripes, though mainly becaise loads of people tried to copy it and it always loked awful!

The Martini livery is one of the all time classics. The Totip scheme is a bit of a "nothing" scheme really.

Maybe not on the yellow cars but the black Cordoba with Repsol sponsorship looked really good.

Cossie - now there's a car that the Repsol scheme didn't work on. The blue and yellow Michelin scheme was about the best on an Escort cossie. The Escort WRC looked good in the white and blue works livery.

I think we agree to disagree with Totip then. I liken it to Alitalia, I guess its the red and green

Agree with Pilot livery, that was a good one.

I really liked some simple liveries like the 85 red and white Celica. 33 Export Metro and Sierra.

Forgto another good one, the TR8 British Airways was nice, as was the silver Chevette, seemd to work on thatc ar with a bit of red and green.

I like Martini, but only on 911's!! ooked awful on Focus, +Escort Cunico, and was OKay on Lancia but a bit boring for me.

Agree on the Chevette, the silver/red/green looked really good on that car (and not so great on the Hyundai Accent!).

The 6R4 looked best in the Clarion livery but the 33 Export worked well too, not so keen on the Computervision livery (but I'm happy to acknowledge that it is probably the definitive colour scheme for that car).

The old Skoda Fabia WRC in white, silver, green and red
Lancia EVO III in Martini colour
The big winged Focus WRC 03 with white and grey
Evo VI in Marlboro colours
Gollops Metro Bi-Turbo
Bohlins Sierra RS Cosworth
205T16 E2 in PTS works colours and North State and Marlboro

But most Rally(cross) cars I prefer in plain white, like in testing

Plain white! WTF

The best 205 colours were Alamaki and Beuzelin. Wambeurges was ok

Best Metro in my eyes was Steve Palmers blue white and green!

RS200, always Pekka Rantanen in 92.

RS500, that is hard,I loved Kenny's green car, but oplands Tork one did it for me.

I always loved the new Tork colours, both RS500 and RS200.
Pekka's white and green RS200 from 1990 was very nice too!
And Skoggie's yellow RS500
