Shanes Park

This is just another addition to my Shanes Park stuff.

In case you don't remember, here are some pics I took of the 'track' a while back:
http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....postcount=7187

I've used Google Earth to get a decent drawing of the track, and pitlane facilities. I haven't thought about grandstands too much.

Using Google Earth's 'Measuring' tool, it seems that the Shanes Park circuit is 5.8km long.

Firstly, it's just the image I made from Google Earth:

WARNING: Image Size 403KB, Image Dimensions 983 × 1386

...and here is the track itself:

WARNING: Image Size 1012KB, Image Dimensions 1966 × 2771

Expect to see a very similar image from my old Mascot circuit as well.

Opinions would be appreciated. Thankyou.

Also, please note changes on FT for those who still check it. Sorry about it.

Not very. It's in Sydney. Less then an hours drive to the CBD.

Just south of the track (where the pits are built), is the largest unused land in Sydney, which is why it's currently being sold of and houses are being built there.

Awesome, thanks mate. Perfect location, excellant track.

P.S. Sad news regarding Fantasy Tracks mate, but I suppose your priorities in life have changed. Hoorah to you, and let's make My Tracks the place to be for budding track designers!

Google Earth Co-ordinates: -33.7193, 150.7788
For those who don't know how this works, just copy the numbers above, and paste them into the 'Fly To' section

Let's not go too much off topic, but to an extent, yes my priorities have changed. I believe that if someone has a track to share, it's better to post it here, in a well known (and if not well known, then it should/will be well known) forum dedicated to Fantasy Tracks (or 'My Tracks', it's the same thing). There are more advantages to posting track on a forum then on a site.

A forum lets people look at the tracks and give their opinion on them whereas a site only lets us look at them.
