Adrian Gamble - Imp racer 78>81'ish

Anyone know if sometime Imp racer, Adrian Gamble is still around ?

He shared an Imp with Chris Roberts, raced around years 1978 > 1981, and came from the Solihull area.

He (and/or Chris) might have had some connection with the Beoley Garage, but I have tried there, and there are none of the old hands left....

I am asking, as I have what I think is the ex-Roberts / Gamble Chrade Imp spaceframe, and would like to find out as much history of it when it raced in England.

Thanks.

Slainte, Alan.

Yes I have, but no one has even heard of him, let alone his whereabouts.....

For what it's worth, in 1978, he was listed in race programmes as coming from Solihull. On the offchance he is still in that area......

OK, as we don't seem to be getting anywhere....

He was from Solihull.

Can someone suggest what is the local motor sports club for that area ?

Also, what is the nearest race circuit ?

Thanks.

Slainte, Alan.

Hi, I believe you want some information from me. I am Adrian Gamble, alive and well and currently living in Melbourne, Australia. If I can help or answer any of your questions let me know. A friend told me about this post.

Welcome Adrian!

I remember you racing Modsports at Thruxton

Did you have a Marcos or Porsche 911/930 at some point?

Can Adrian's mate give him a shout please, as I've sent him quite a few PM's and e-Mails from here, but no reply yet...

In a week's time, I'll be seeing George Gunn at the sprint at Golspie. It would be nice to have made contact with Adrian by then, as it was to George the Chrade Imp was sold to.

Erm.....did I mention I have the Chrade Imp ? Oh well........

Can Adrian's mate give him a shout again please.

Adrian did reply to me once, mentioning that he found one of my notes in his spam folder....

I've sent lots more e-mails since, but no reply, so suspect he needs to check his spam folder and settings.

Unless he dusnae like me......
