Observations:
At Monza Round:
- bichuguri (LT) forgot to put poleman and 8th of Race 1.
- badoer (LA) double-posted Carroll for 5th and 7th at Race 1; these parts of his predictions weren't valid.
- Bubu (TH) entered Neel Jani as 4th of Race 2, but the Swiss driver didn't contest in GP2 now, so that part of his preds was annulled.
- Sedicivalvole (LT) sent his forecasts after deadline, so they weren't valid for this round.
At Drivers Championship Round:
- hotwheels (TT) and daeng (GL) forgot to complete all 8 picks for the round; the first put only top five of the drivers championship and the secon put only top six.

With all round results cleared, we present...

Forum Progressions during 2006

Ramblings about forum progressions in the 2006 GP2 Two Worlds Prediction Competition:

Los Tuercas: They goal was to win the forums championship, and they did it! Mostly supporting José MarÃ*a López, people of this forum entered on the Competition with little more knowledge of GP2 Series than the previous year, thanks to the GP2 TV broadcasts avaliable in Argentina. IVAN, ChevroPablo and patorlando were among best users, and osc@r was the sole round winner. The uncertain presence of local drivers gives a question mark about the support from this forum on next GP2 TWPC season, but they proved they have a great spirit and capacity of defend their honour, whenever the Competition they're involved in.

Ten-Tenths: The numerary presence of Los Tuercas forumers was more than the effectiveness of Ten-Tenthers on forum championship, but on individuals they were the men to beat: DanFlag, SALEEN S7R, flexible-flyer and of course the crowned champion knowlesy did great performances, to not mention that, at least until now, all F3000 and GP2 TWPC champions are from this forum. We'll see what happens next year.

GlobalF1: What to say... They're clearly the Rookie Forum of the Year. Chaps, ChrisAllen and Speedworx were at the top during different stages of the year, and in general they proved to be very effective doing their predictions. Excellent support by moderators completed a fantastic debut of this forum. Is seen great chances for them next year.

F1Latam: Other newcomer forum that did a pleasant season. Mainly guided by Animanganime, this Latin-American forum did interesting results on their predictions; some of their concursants won some rounds during the season. Hope that they can improve more in the future.

Velocidad-TotalF1: Again the compact group of forumers did what they can, and showed quite well. Sammyed was the best mainly by persistency and their users won rounds specially at the beggining of the championship; at the second part of the year suffered some lack on participations, but the income of some users exiled from Corsadigital (included me) compensed it.

Thef1.com Actuality forum: This forum showed discrete results with few forumers; it could be due to discrete results of their drivers and teams. pericu, their best forumer, won mainly by persistency and was eventual round winner.

UpdateF1: It were expected more concursants from this forum than the ones that entered this season. Nonetheless, Chrisss and PaulCrossling did respectable seasons, giving their best round by round.

Nuestro Foro F1: This new forum was created by one of the ex-moderators of Corsadigital, followed by several users of that forum (see below). Entered the Competition at mid-year in order to allow exiled Corsadigital forumers to keep into the Competition. They finished at last spot on the forums champ, but the level of many individuals, mainly Cuervitti and Carlos Vº, showed that the forum could score far better if it would be present during the entire season.

Corsadigital: They had run better than previous year, but... the disaster happened. The discussions among users, and later between the same moderators of the forum, caused havoc, several bans, massive exile of forumers and, finally, the closure of the forum last July 31st. Only deep sadness could cause the harsh situation they lived.

In conclusion, into forums the interest about the Competition increased, top two ones showed great form and results, entered a terrific newcomer, some did discrete performances, and one forum has to close, quickly replaced by other. We hope to continue with all (or almost all) current forums on the GP2 Competition of next year, although the participations often depends of the presence of local drivers on GP2 Series. Alas, door is opened in case of income of new forums.

Hehehe, not a bad debut year in GP2! And overtaking manouvre of the year, well, all I can say is that is what happens when you are a JPM fan (isn't that right chunterer!).

Thanks to Mekola for running the competition, it is the best one I think and fairly unique. I thoroughly enjoy it and hope to compete again next season! And thanks to the many competitors, who make it what it is of course!
