Official - Marshalls ARE God!
Photographic proof if any were needed that marshalls really are God, don't even need to say or do anything - just stand there and everything and everyone stops and waits.

Could be either way I would guess.

Mind you the bloke on the left (jeans and light top) painting the red line seems to have some magic powers.

You know - I never even noticed that but now it jumps out every time lol

PS: I did have a slightly earlier shot of said marshal stood in front of the cars with his back to me but it just didn't work as well.

From the rather haphazard painting I'm not too sure if the powers are magical or alcoholic.
