Is ITV unwilling to broadcast both F1 then the BTCC back to back ? It's been done before I think and would be a slight solution but perhaps they prefer to limit the amount of motorsport and appeal to a wider audience on Sunday afternoons.
if they showed all the motorsport(which i think they should) they wouldnt be able to show doapoperas and and other similar shows.
imo this would e a great change but others wouldnt think so

"DTM is a GT sport", says Theissen
http://www.touringcartimes.com/news.php?id=2183

"I would even rank the DTM at the top of GT racing. GT racing, spectacular with good cars." - Theissen

So what does that make WTCC, "TC racing, unspectacular with bad cars?" Now remember that BMW is in WTCC right now, and are entering ALMS GT2 next season, now if WTCC is so bad why are they in it? And if DTM is "the top of GT racing" why are they entering GT2 instead, which by his own words is not as good as DTM?

...anyway. Tomorrow its friday.

Were does he say WTCC (or S2000) is unspectaculair and has bad cars?
And Theissen says DTM is at the same level as FIA GT, (A)LMS and SuperGT.

Here's the original (?) article:

stedevil has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Indeed, he is just saying what we all already knew to be the case, DTM isn't really a TCC but a purpose-built race car/GT series. The praise of DTM is just to not step on anybodies toes by accidentally leaving the impression that BMW doesn't join it because they think it sucks, just that it doesn't fit their current marketing strategy.

I think somethings wrong with the question on TcT?

"Which drivers won the two races during the first visit at Mantorp last year?"

During the first visit, there was only 1 STCC race, so only one driver could have won that, if you dont mean both the spring race and the season finale, in which case its 2 different drivers, but thats not the question... If you dont mean Carrera Cup Scandinavia, which has 2 races/weekend. Maybe you should specify that its STCC and nothing else?

There has been more errors at TcT lately then usual, what I've noticed anyway, any reason for that?

Awesome, that makes it a lot easier to answer.

You've had the whole off season to rest on, shouldnt that be enough?

Nah, you guys are doing a great job, I'm not really in a position to complain. I'll be whining in here again tho if I see any more errors, just so you know.

On the STCC preview article at TcT the date is wrong for the schedule:

Schedule - Sunday 15 June (Subject to change)

The race is on the Saturday 14th.

What would work best would be the highlights package as suggested by Walker for the casual viewer, with full live coverage on a specialist channel like Motors and online on the series' website to satisfy the enthusiast.
