I saw in the Jakarta Globe that he hopes to race in F3 somewhere in Europe in between A1GP seasons.

Ali scored 2 points on his A1GP debut in South Africa for Indonesia, their first points this season - so he's doing rather well .

thank monkeyhead. post more news pls. www.afos.com hasnt nothin. afos neglejects v6 in my opion. afos act of repeatedly doing the same task and posting old drivers news. v6 cant go on like this. promotion is need. if not cause that's why we're here knowing nothin.

you re right lam pak,
i also think afos is being lazy about doing promo job. they are relying too much on the team doing all the work. Who cares about what the drivers from 3 years ago are doing every month. they should put more news about testing and the teams |

True afos is laking motivation...but on the other hand what's the point to prmote a car/sereis which is about to die and no one is testing as well......

I reckon the problem is at first coming from the car itself that is not really reliable and difficult to handle for the teams; I guess they should have baught some WSR from 2004 Dallara Chassis, more reliable and much more easy to get spare parts. The other question is to know if there is any room for this kind of car in Asia. If any asian driver wants to make his way in motorsport he will have soon or late to move to Europe. |

formula nippon was a beter take. sprinkles for 2009. old chasis fv6 not bad as ppl thinks in europe but not reliable for parols.hope more 10 cars in grid. e-rain, meritus, taradtm and champ are workin hard. hope be enough.
i think asians dont need to go europe if they hav a good championship in asia. make and enforce a good championship here and u gonna see. Quote:

Yes i agree that Lola Formula Nippon could have been a good oppotunity for AFOS.
Once again what is the point to have a championship with 10 cars on the grid and no proper level of competition to judge Asian Drivers? Look at Chandhok and Ebrahim, they had to move on to Europe to have a chance to reach F1 someday |

I still think that @ 200k US it s a very good opportunity to train with these kind of cars before moving to WSR/GP2/A1.
Avoid drivers like Chandok and Ebrahim to spend 600 k euro for a year in wsr. |

In my opinion, a driver rather spend 200,000 US $ on testing a WSR than race a 6-8 cars grid in V6.

Sun 1 even if the grid is small you still spend a lot of time driving the car, plus experiance in race condition is worth much more than practice in my opinion

I wonder what formula should replace v6 next year, sad that there will be no other cars than 2l in asia if v6 dies.

As it has been mentionned before, a Formula 3 championship with same engine Spec would be great,Spanish or Italian style. But the economical condition now does not help
But formula BMW teams are already struggling to find drivers with full budget. |

Yes totally agree, recently Formula Renault V6 has seen some gentleman driver like Williamson,Michael Ho,Jeffrey Lee and Hafiz Koh ( no offense to them) but it did not really rize up the overall level of the competition and it shows that FR V6 Asia is not really attractive serie
Would be great at first to have at least a proper and strong feeder serie like Formula BMW or Formula Renault 2000 in Asia |

Why is there so much anti-Goddard sentiment here?
Because a team manager is able to become a series promoter doesnt automatically mean they are able to cheat and win. MAYBE Eurasia were simply the best team at running an Asian F3 car. I know when Chris Maliepaard tested the Eurasia F3 car it was very professionally prepared, and with the car fully legal were able to turn in immediately fast lap times. People in this world seem to be very much anti-success, you see it everywhere. When Ferrari and Schumacher were dominating F1 many people turned against them, or turned away from F1, even though behind them the racing was still very exciting. Frederic Vervisch is obviously a very talented driver, and certainly doesnt need an illegal car to win races. Maybe you should stop pointing the finger at Goddard and work in a way to bring the Asian F3 championship back to the forefront of Asian motorsport. *Rant over* |

Agree with 08U05,need to bring up the F3 in Asia back again.....Goddard could run a team but I also believ that he should stay away from Promotion/Organistaion......

stop defending goddard. goddard destroyed f3 in asia. this topic is v6 and goddard v6 team end so badly and no glory and no help for the championship.
