Yes, reverse grid win. It's not often this season when Carlin features in the points. Compared to last year, VW power is less powerful

i don't have any problem with it - sure, it's not 100% pure, but i don't think it really matters too much. it's pretty obvious to anyone who knows brands indy and f3 that so long as whoever is on pole makes a good start and doesn't do anything daft then they will win. that's just the nature of the circuit and to be honest, it's a shame because there are better circuits in the uk that would provide more opportunities for overtaking and whathaveyou.
in the superleague for example, when they reverse the grid, the driver who starts on pole doesn't win unless they were the fastest car on the grid anyway. |

I don't know why they don't use the GP circuit at Brands, the only good racing you will see on the Indy circuit is Formula Ford.

How on earth can you say that!?! i presume, wait... no, hope that, you mean the "only good racing you will see on the support timetable for DTM is formula ford". If so you have a point...if not you are completely wrong! |

Do you think F3 Euroseries on Brands Indy are exciting? Likewise British Formula Renault? I have seen every race of the latter series this year, and can safely say the two most boring races were the ones on Brands without a doubt. The ChampCar race in 2003 was dreadful, so much so in fact that most drivers said why aren't we racing on the GP circuit?

Dont get me wrong i think formula ford races on the indy circuit are brilliant.
It depends what series and what level we look at. I, as a passionate motorsport fan enjoy all forms of motorsport...so yes i find most forms of anything on brands hatch indy exciting in one way or another, including F3 euroseries and Formula renault. If we look at the "lower" series...single seaters on brands hatch indy are close and exciting. Take the 750MC formula 4 championship for instance. |

Yeah I agree, if you look at Formula Ford/Vee races on the Indy circuit they are fantastic. I was meaning more sort of high powered single-seaters with 'slicks and wings' on the Indy circuit aren't really that exciting when compared to other tracks. I must say for entertainment value, Formula 3 and Renault races on the Indy layout aren't up there with the best. I've just watched the official F3 Euroseries video highlights of Brands from 08/07 to remind myself and the commentary says things such as 'such a short track, the races of the F3 Euroseries at Brands are rather drawn out' as well as 'the race was decided at the start, otherwise it was uneventful'. The track is challenging, but too short (IMO). The GP circuit on the other hand is great all round.

I agree that the GP circuit is more suited to "slicks and wings"...i guess we will see how much more 'exciting' it is when formula renault hits the GP circuit in october!

Well, none really thinks a 2nd race winner is a real winner, but they give a chance for the top runners to show their ability from the back, which Hulkenberg especially showed this year.

oops totally forgot about them! they have run on both the GP circuit and the indy cicuit this year and IMO the race on the indy cicuit was much better. It was closer on the indy circuit and they just became far to spread out over the GP circuit.
