I'd expect that the engines went back and forth to the UK for rebuilds / updates etc.
TWR also sent people out to help the Shepheard team, they sent Jan Lammers out to test an 850 one year to help them sort it too.

Either way, the 1998 AMP 1000 two-car entry was a complete TWR effort, with practically the whole BTCC team coming out with the local ATSC/Shepheard effort lending a hand.

In conclusion, TWR Australia had nothing to do with the Volvo team.

Having said that, they did allow Mr Brock to pedal one on the odd occasion...

Correct - apart from being geographic TWR Australia and TWR UK were owned and run by Tom Walkinshaw were they not?

TWR UK also sent people to work on the Australian program - and as has been stated the 1998 Bathurst 1000 which delivered of the greatest Bathurst races of all time delivering Jim Richards his 7th Bathurst 1000.

The original point suggested that TWR ran the Volvo program with assistance from George Shepheard's operation. Other than Bathurst, that seems not to be the case. Certainly the 850 wagon & sedan programs involved TWR as a suppler to Volvo but not running the team although that may have changed once PB stopped driving for Volvo (a big bone of contention with TWR at the time).

George Sheppard (Roadsafe) ran the Australian Volvo program, dating back to the 850s that ran in the 12hr for a couple of years. It was the success of that program that lead them into running the Super Tourers from '95-onwards. All additional technical and personel support were provided by TWR in the UK.

Bathurts of '97 and '98 were a mish-mash of TWR UK and Roadsafe.

There was no TWR Australia involvement.

I'm not sure where Brock fits into this. May have been a TWR thing, or just simply employed directly by Volvo Cars Australia.
