750MC Anglesey 4th /5th August

Well I finally got all the marshals tickets etc. in tonights post so should be with most of you tomorrow/Saturday.

Just after posting them i got the email confirming that RGB competitors are doing their BBQ at 7.30 on Saturday night. Good food and drink and marshals all invited - not to be missed.

Thanks - really looking forward to this event, first time at Anglesea.

Where is the marshals campsite, is it open on Friday evening and can we stay over on the Sunday night?

I know things have changed since I last went but am assuming Marshals camping is still by the loo on right as you enter the paddock. Don't think there is a problem with Fri/Sun Night but,as we usually have a lot of competitors with overspill in their areas, it might get to be a bit of a free-for-all!

Camping is still between the loos and the old med centre (by the gate into the paddock), or on the grassy arapposire,. There shouldn't be a problem Friday. I'm not sure about Sunday. Probably best to speak to the circuit office.

Bring strong tent pegs. The ground is full of rocks and rubble and normal ones will end up like paperclips!

Should be OK for Sunday as long as you let Terry and Arthur know that you're stopping.

Rather looking forward to this one, for it will be one of my rare trips to Anglesey. Looks like it should be a good meeting

Pete,

We have tickets for Bill. I'm due to be a spare part unless you can find something for me to do.

As seen on other threads, I am feeling much better and would consider doing some flag mentoring. However, I still need to be in striking distance of a loo (blame the drugs) and not sure I'm up to doing two whole days on the bank. But I will turn up in orange and see what's what.

If anyone going to Angelsey is after some flag mentoring then let me know and we can see what sort of deal we can arrange on the day!
(Paul Newns: you are excluded from this offer!)

Will be my first time at Anglesey, certainly looking forward to it, does anybody know what time the campsite will be likely to open on the Friday?

Free BBQ

And, don't forget, this meeting features the annual RGB marshal's BBQ with all us lot providing the food and drinks for you lot. Planning is now at an advanced stage and there should be a sufficient quantity. RGB is in the grassy bit of paddock to the left so that's either an inspired location for basking in the sun or a quagmire in the rain. Let's hope for the former!

As before, all orange-suited people welcome; but you are allowed to change first! Turn up from 7pm onwards....

Just pray for sunshine...

Pete,

I worked in Assembly at Donington yesterday and am really feeling it today - I'm obviously less better than I thought!!!

Still happy to do some flag mentoring but probably only in the mornings (I flag better when I'm still waking up) so I don't overdo it.

And if Paul Newns wants some mentoring then I am more than happy to provide same

Steve, please refrain from calling the driver an idiot. He may not of know he was in a forward gear, was anyone communicating with the driver.

In the heat of a race adrenalin does funny things.

What would you say if he posted that the idiot marshal where pushing him the wrong way?
