My friend Josh Beaulieu, a Canadian FFord racer, has alerted me to the final deal being done for the Canadian FFords to support the Montreal Grand Prix. This is a BIG step up for the series and we who are attending the GP are looking forward to meeting up with the guys there and cheering them on.

Hi Liz,

I learned about this too yesterday here:
-----------
19 APR 01 Air Canada F1 Grand Prix Confirms F1600 Support Race
Canada’s Formula Ford racers will once again make a welcome appearance at the Air Canada Formula One Grand Prix, June 8-10, 2001, as the Canadian Formula Ford Championship, presented by A. N. Deringer, returns to Le Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Full Story --->
http://www.nationalkarting.com/
---------------

But it's not really a step up, for as long as I can remember, F1600 race have almost always been part of the Canadian Grand-Prix in Montréal!

Anyway, I'll most probably be working there again this year, so if you want to tell me more about you or your friend driver, maybe we can meet there!

Here is a glance of last year!!!

Thanks - I meant for the individual guys, not the series - my friends have not raced there before. Assuming all goes well with the contracts and everything, I will be there to cheer on Josh Beaulieu of Langley, BC, the next great Canadian F1 pilot (well, in a few years maybe).

I'm going to be taking Marshalling School at Mosport this summer so maybe some day i'll get to work at the GP too. Hope to see you there!
