minimangler should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BGT/F3 Silverstone 16/17 Aug

Is anyone going?

More importantly, can anyone possibly give me a lift on Sunday, from the Rugby area? Maybe Friday, but that's doubtful.

I can't offer monetary exchange, as my last £16 is going on a weekend ticket

I can offer photo prints?

Any help GREATLY appreciated

If not, I'll not go, but if anyone is going through/from Rugby, I'd be grateful beyond belief.

Thanks again, Jake.

You're missing the psychedelic rainbow though! Maybe you need to be asking Horndawg for his hook-up?

PS: Am I the only one troubled by the fact that the Brit GT champions were decided in July? It's kind of early to have all the suspense gone out of the series.

On the surface it would be a concern, however you have to look at the reasons why it happened.

It wasn't like F1 in 2001, where Schumacher was so dominant he couldn't be caught half way through the year, this was purely down to the GT calendar:

A fourteen race championship, of which twelve of those races happen before the end of July and only two happen afterwards.

Hopefully they can come up with something which is more evenly spread through the season next year.

That was my point, the scheduling seems to have been accomplished with a lot of logistical sense but little conceptual sense! Having a top-loaded season like that doesn't really seem to make sense to me, especially as it caused a lot of running in rainy spring weather and then has largely ignored the Jul-Sept height of summer.

.
Think it's the #8 Oliver Morley car- it was reported on DSC a few weeks back that Morley (who owns the car as well as driving it) wasn't happy about the performance balancing in the series and was withdrawing the car

Hey, we're having an all-time record (well, 150 years, but it's the New World...) for rainfall here this summer, but it's still summer! I realize your fair isle is rather climatologically distinct from this continent, but across the Northern Hemisphere it would be fair to say that the height of summer is from mid-June to mid-August, with more variable weather either side. It's a simple function of where the sun is!

It's great to see the Ascari back this weekend, even if we are still down a Lambo. I'm getting rather tired of seeing so many people in GT3 throw their toys out of the pram whenever they don't win for a few races. I mean, guys, with 20-something cars out there and a limited number of races, not everyone is going to win all of them, especially if the performance balancing is fair. Saying 'boo-hoo, we only won a single race early this season' might provoke a more sensible reaction, like, I dunno, testing and driver coaching? Crazy talk!

Who is there? I'll see you there tomorrow

I have a bright yellow hedgehog on the end of one of my camera lenses, and black jeans. Say hi, I don't bite!

Wel, there was enough sun to give me sunburnt ears. High attrition rate, though. Was that the first time that more Ginettas that GT3s have taken the chequered flag?

Rikki Cann should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I must say that i was embarrassed at the size of the grids and the amount of finishers in a 2hour race, and why did Silverstone not open the bar up on Saturday night??? there was alot of pivgved off people in the Paddock Saturday night.
