FF and other single seaters : Who is doing Anglesey on 5th Dec?

The doom mongers amongst us are telling me that virtually nobody will be out at the 3 races for £100 bargain raceday at Anglesey on Sunday 5th December.

I realise that some cars will have been sold [an ideal early shakedown opportunity for their new owners exists here] and others will be undergoing winter rebuilds and some drivers are just too wimpy to venture out in winter [fair weather drivers, tsish tsish].

I know / hope differently. Interest in the meeting has been high and the circuit is giving it a huge push in the local media, plus radio and TV.

The problem is racing drivers and their apathy in making race entries until the very last minute. An example of this being the Zetec entry at the Festival - less than 2 weeks away - standing at nine today, but Zetec testing is apparently fully booked. "We'd better book testing or we won't get in, but the club will accept our entries, no matter how late" mentality.

So who is going to turn out and who isn't and why? Just a bit of market research for my good self please.

I will not be doing it as the crash at Combe has meant the car is having an early strip down but I will be entering my brother in law in the Sports car race in my Ginetta.

It will be his first car race after pro karting but my sister and brother in law have followed me where ever we have raced this year so it is an early christmas pressie to say thanks

Primarily this is a discussion forum but because we're nice we do allow events such as this to be promoted. That isn't a good enough reason to (a) mention it on every thread possible and (b) start new threads for it with regularity.

This breaches the forum rules and is known as spamming. We can, and do, ban or suspend people that spam the forums. I don't want to ban, or suspend, someone such as Diz who is doing so much tireless work on this and other events. So it would be a lot easier to play by the rules of the forum. Thanks.

Not many yet, but come the day, who knows? Entries don't officially close until 24 November, unofficially 2 December.
