Turismo Carretera 1/32 cars

Nowadays, aside the efforts of artisans, like my good friend Gustavo Ambrosio who does fine crafts in 1/43, the scale most used to reproduce miniatures of Argentinian Turismo Carretera cars is 1/32. Slot cars tended minor miniature makers to use this scale in Argentina. Generally, they're made in plastic instead diecast, only with metal parts when the car is designed for slot purposes.

The most renowned brand is Clase Slot, that builds on-demand or current reproductions of actual TC cars. Generally, they make the cars of the champions since 1979 onwards, in means, where Turismo Carretera gained independence. Reproductions of cars of José MarÃ*a López on his pass over TC or legends like Roberto Mouras, Juan MarÃ*a Traverso, Oscar Castellano and the AventÃ*n brothers and son are among their miniatures. They made also the infamous green Falcon TC car where Guido Falaschi died in 2011, but Falaschi's family prevented the reproduction of such car (and any other of Guido) quickly when happened.

Is another brand of 1/32, that is RAC. Also reproduces Turismo Carretera miniatures in slot scale. But is less known.

And is Cropar, that reproduces street car versions of cars whose TC cars are based. They're made on plastic, quite hard, hand-painted, and is still the cheapest reproduction of these classics one could have in Argentina. Fortunately I have the four cars (Chevy, Dodge, Falcon, Torino) to evaluate them in their proportions.

Just a preview of what is the scene having Argentinian motorsport miniatures, specially these of Turismo Carretera.
