Parc Ferme is for topics which would be off topic in any of the other subject specific forums.

Motors TV has gone mad! It returned to me yesterday and has frozen up twice today, once during DTM qualifying which I was well miffed about. Then of course it jammed up during the British F3.......jeez, the two programmes I was taping and it buggers up!

hmmm...problems here too. I just flicked through and the BTCC was on - but for some reason the satellite was only picking up half the cars that should have been there - can anyone help?

I had the same problem Craig. I was not sure what the problem was, but it was not good to watch so I turned over. I could only see 11 cars.

We've had no problems with the pictures on Motors TV - but could they do something about their scheduling!!!!!!!!

The TV Racing Selection programme that Bill was part of was scheduled - according to the Sky TV guide - last Saturday and then 3 other times. Every recording resulted in Bike/GT racing.

We had received an e-mail from the organisers stating it would be shown at 8pm Tuesday so we gave that a try. Yes, the programme was on but according to the guide it was WEC and we had to re-hit the record button half way through (as WEC was only 1/2 hour).

And then, to rub salt in it, Bill was nowhere to be seen!!!!! £700 for his moment of glory and he didn't even get on the telly!!!!

But big thanks to Motors TV (whatever their faults) for creating the opportunity for joe public to go "racing" - and for selecting Bill for the finals. It was a wonderful experience and we wouldn't have missed it for the world. I'm also impressed by the way their commentators frequently refer to the good job Marshals do (even if you are sat in your armchair watching them getting it wrong). Has Steve Green been buying them pints???

Shawn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi everyone.
I have had signal problems with some channels for some time now but until MotorsTV disappeared it wasn't too much of an issue. Anyway I gave sky a ring and initially they tried to send a new signal which takes approximatly 4 hours to arrive. This did not cure anything so I reluctantly paid the £65.00 to have an engineer come out.
He arrived this morning and changed the LNB which cured everything except MotorsTV.
Next he tested the signal and adjusted the dish and Hey Presto! we are back on air !!

Apparently (whether it's Sky Or Motors) some of the signals have been adjusted/refined/tighened up to stop Spain, of all countries receiving the signal.

If it is any help the adjustment made to my dish is as follows: a nudge to the right and slightly up.
Sorry not to be very precise but it was literally a matter of millimetres. I am in the South East of the U.K if anyone needs to try the same adjustment.
If the dish is not spot on then you will not receive the channel.

Hope this helps.
Shawn.

p.s Anyone wishing to recieve the signal in Spain now have to buy a bigger dish.

Me buy a drink! Good grief...

Some of us from the BMMC did pop along to the Motors TV stand at the Autosport Show, but I doubt that has anything to do with it sadly. Still, well done to them for giving us a mention!

Stephen.
