RVJ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Bob Micheletti just sent me a couple of scans from On Track, January and Feb '84, it's my car for sure..

Mike Gue emailed back stating it looks like Stan Fox's car, he had a connection with Timken, out of the Essex shop..

Thanks all of you guys for the help.

Update: Just had a nice, long conversation with John Timken...all the details on his May/'83 new car square up with my car's history, it seems.
My paperwork from Engine Development Limited also point to a Judd engine history, consistent with John's assurance he always used Judd/ Brabham engines, items of which I still have with me.

Steve Cochran sent me a couple of photos of that test day in May at Lime Rock of the brand new car. He used to crew/ work/ help at the track on all of John's cars.

Couple of details: one crashed RT5 was sold at Phoenix to somebody in the movie industry for a car crash sequence, and that particular RT5 got destroyed...! scratch one RT5.

Have to track down the chief mechanic of that team, Howard Minckler for more details at this point.

if there is still interest.....

I have only one RT-5 pic in my flickr stuff....Al Jr. at Road America in '81...but I do have a fair number of others.

If there is interest I let me know and I'll put it on the growing list of old cars from my archives that people want to see.

Al Jr......

It's in this set.....

This is the link to the whole photostream and there are a number of sets that will give you a decent idea of what's in my archives.

more Ralt's, Martini, March, Anson

FYI, since there was a lot of talk but no action I have moved forward and organized the first "historic" Supervee race.... well it was all impromtu and with MOTUL ' s generosity. But there was a race and awards (sort of...) so now let get more cars out on the track. How about an outing in October in the west (coast) ? more info at www.historicfsv.com regards, Ricardo

RT5-732 request for info

I have 1988 Ralt SuperVee chassis number RT5-732. Its "story" is it was purchased new by Bernard Jourdain for the 1988 season. He raced it to two wins and third place in the Championship. The car was sold to Charles Nearburg. Charlie ran the car two more years until the series folded.
Adam or Chris, any insight into this cars origin are vastly appreciated.
I have been told it is the last RT5, and I certainly have not seen a high chassis number in all my searching.

RT-5 history

Hello, looking for help in the identity and history of a Ralt chassis. There is no Ralt id tag but the stamp on the front bulkhead is:
AM 85
84
28
see photo, note how the AM numbers are stamped.
Also, the Hewland rear cover has H9 6211

any information would be great! thanks, in advance.
