Richard Longman 1275GT

Richard Longman's 1978/79 British Touring Car Championship Winning Mini 1275GT was eventually bought by BMW to add to their collection of historic classic Minis, Works Minis and race cars. BMW plan to exhibit the famous car at various shows around the world from time to time.

However the Gaydon Heritage museum are not looking after their three BMC Works Rally Monte winning Mini's which are being presented in lamentable condition according to the experts in the Works Register of the UK Mini Cooper Register. BMW as current owners of Mini are aware of the poor condition of the Gaydon cars but do at least keep all the historic BMW museum cars that they own on display in tip top condition with no expense spared and also their increasing collection of historic classic Mini's.
