Not heard of any testing from the team. Some of the smaller teams can't afford to go testing so there might not be any!

As for racing, Richard said they would probably be joining at Donington (end of July).

However he did specifically say he was going to be doing significant testing before his debut, and was supposed to be testing at Brands in April, but I heard nothing to suggest that actually happened.

not on track anymore it would seem. looking at this week's motorsport news it says Richard is likely to appear with John Bachelor now and not Griffin Racing.

last he said on here he was going on about investing in Griffin's outfit, seems like he's had a change of heart for some reason. anyone know anything?

I wouldn't waste my time and effort.

I'm still waiting for John Batchelor's 2004 entry to materialise.

His 2004 entry did materialse, he ran a Honda Civic Type-R for Richard Marsh as number 40 from Brands Hatch (R2) to Knockhill (R7) and then as number 41 for Jay Wheals at Donington Park (R10). They also ran Marsh in a 307 at Brands Hatch (R8) and Snetterton (R9)

I think you mean his 2005 entry, under the name of Team FirstServe Group, with a #33 Honda Civic Type-R Super 2000. That car did not make any appearances during the season.

Hello folks, just to clarify we will be out testing very soon. I have not changed my plans and will be running in the 307 and we should get a reasonable amount of time in the car before we start the season off.

Don't know where the motoring News quote came from but it was not me.

Biggest restriction has been my availability, but that his sorted now.

The team has been working on several items on the car and getting our workshop up to an excellent standard. The car is in paint at the moment and will be ready to reassemble early next week.

When you see our set up you will see how serious we are about this.

We will see how testing goes but we so no reason why we won't be out at Donington.

The team is based in Coventry.

We do know the colour scheme of the car but we won't be releasing it until the sponsors wish to.

My website www.richardmarsh.com will go live in a couple of weeks with what we are up to with a build up to our first race and release of sponsors, team name etc.

No race number yet as I have not actually registered with Championship as I don't want to start the testing restriction until after our first race.

does anyone else know any more on this yet? with less than a month until donington i am very surprised the 307 hasn't been out testing.

Not wanting to sound sceptical but Griffin hardly has a good reputation for following though on the what he says.

I doubt we will ever see the 307. even if the car turns a wheel other than at the workshop it will unlikely be competative.

Is it still Team Griffin Racing as it was under when racing clios? also i vaguelly remember a male / female partnership behind it is this still the case??

Boycie, just out of interest, why are you so keen to find out? With all due respect to Richard, he's hardly the most eagerly anticipated driver.

in answer to redshoes:
i'm keen to find out what's going on as i have been stung by griffin in the past and i wonder how genuine this latest offering really is.

in response to bowser:
the male/female, or husband/wife, partnership ceased quite some time ago now. i spoke with michelle not all that long ago actually when i saw her at one of the btcc rounds and she's still trying to pick up the pieces after griffin left her penniless.

According to Richard, John Batchelor has nothing to do with running the car.
