I was more irritated that Jeff Gordon, having been the class of the field all year, ends up starting the Chase on a deficit.

i read that jimmie johnson's californian win gave him #1 spot in the chase - he is 5th or 6th in points.... does it go on race wins?

Yes kind of....You get 10 bonues points (i think) for a race win....So I think Jimmie has had the most wins out of the chasers?

Yes. Jimmie has had five. Jeff has had four. Tony Stewart three. Kurt Busch two. A load of folk on one.

It's not a very good system for deciding the Chase order I must say.
