The recent ESM test of their P3 car was subsidized by Onroak, and an additional 5 P3's may have been sold because of it.

Emphasis on "may have." A surprising number of people are for some reason convinced that the sales have already happened. News reports describe the sales as ones that "could happens."

Still, all Ligiers. P3 continues to be in danger of becoming a one-make class if Norma and Riley can't pull out something excellent.

We will see. I've texted a few people to see what the counts for PC are going to be like, everyone keeps telling me 12-15.

For P3s or the whole series? 'Cause that's REALLY lowballing if it's the latter. If the former... I'll believe it when I see it. (we can be certain of 6 entries minimum, though)

P3's. There were 6 in the states before PC/Lites went to P3. We should know more next week-ish.

Good to see they haven't given up on the project. I hope the car has been upgraded to fix some of its earlier issues

There's only so much they can do since the homologation is locked in... But we don't need to retread those points yet again.

I wonder if BAR1 and Performance Tech are among the customers who have ordered LMP3 cars for 2017. Those are the 2 remaining LMPC teams that we have not heard anything about a move to DPI or GTD.

PC1 was changed back to LMP3 at the request of the ACO who are protecting their brand. Creventic just had the similar "non" from the French.

And I believe more than just Tony have said they have sold cars and orders were confirmed. If you're so worried about how good the car is then why would you want it NOW? It would be better to make the BEST and most refined product you could as the season is pretty much over in terms of teams deciding they're going to get a new car to end the 2020 season because Ligier has a new one. If the Ligier is consistently better those with a Ave-Riley are going to leave after the season anyway. But if he waits until the car is the best it can be and homolgates it before the 2017 season he has at least 2 months more running to test the car. So why would I give up free testing time to get it out for 4 years from now?? That's not cutting your nose off to spite your face, that's cutting off your head cause you're tired of getting a haircut. It might make non-customers who want to see the car and tell us how much better they'd make it happier, but the actual buyer would rather have a good well-sorted chassis.

I see Murphy didn't make Estoril. any word on the Riley LMP3 for 2017? Wasn't Murphy the distributor?

Yes their LMP2 car was damaged. Great bunch of Lads hope they are back soon The LMP3 seems to be shrouded in mystery
